Welcome to another episode of Trailmakers! In anticipation for the upcoming Airborne Expansion in Trailmakers, the devs organized a a 2v2 air battle where one team will attack with 2 fighter planes, while the other team defends a cargo plane with one pilot and one gunner. Whoever can last longest during the cargo runs wins!

Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Hey Man, I have one ideia of a multiplayer game (in trailmakers) that your friends can play. I will build airplane frames, as well as weapon frames (in workshop), that you can put togather to do a dogfight. It player will choose per rond an Airplane frame and put in some wapons. And then you fight as you like. I think it looks cool, but in anyways I will put that idea in workshop Live today(march/17/2023). So if you like it, I world love if you make a video about it even with yours homemade frames🤩 The names of my frames (for work shop surch) will be "Airbrawlers something". Exemple: "Airbrawler V wing" or "Airbrawler machine gun" All will be madeira by Matheus FPB

Scrapman's turret run felt like one of those on-rails arcade shooters, especially at 13:30, and Yzuei's plane was so authentic looking!

Kosmo's flying through the arena entrances coupled with Scrapman making it difficult to stay safe while tracking was one of the coolest I've seen Trailmakers in a while.

I'm a firm believer that it would've been an easier dog fight if he built both planes. Not dissing on cosmo, but there's only 1 plane challenge that scrapman lost*, and it was paper planes. *That I know of.

@@golett0331 While I do not disagree, in my humble opinion, the fighter plane honestly not bad. From what I can see it is faster than other fighters and very maneuverable for its speed. It is just used less optimal. Also, Kosmo admitted the fighter has minor fix by Scrapman. I think if Kosmo and Scrapman used boom and zoom consistently, like last fighters collision, instead of trying to dogfight, it might be better use of the fighters given the speed advantage. Kosmo usually better when playing with water in trailmakers.

@@aristo999999999 It appears that my comment was misunderstood. I am not saying that cosmos jet was in any way, shape or form "bad", I just believe that Scrapman would've built it better. I did notice cosmo mentioning that SM tweaked it a little, however there's a big difference between tweaking and building. As for Cosmo being better in the water, I would have to rewatch previous videos, but I agree that scrapman isn't as good in the water and that he's made some pretty bad boats in the past.

Intentional or not, I cannot express enough how accurate that looked to many real take-offs of larger aircraft from a carrier. The level of a dimension of engagement that was brought naturally was fantastic! This is about as close as you can get to dog fighting in this game. What an absolute thriller. I'll definitely be watching this one from every perspective.

I think that it would've been so cool if scrapman and Kan had kept the same paint job, it makes me think of what an alternate paint scheme for the blue angels could be, more new and sleek looking. I think that the dynamic grey and blue fade look is a lot more intimidating than the red and black.

Great to see an old classic come back with a new twist! Anyway, you already know the drill. Also, 3 digits! I started around the start of December last year 😄 *Day 100* of asking Scrapman to do a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot set up in the mechanic station, then everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, no glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races along some road :)

Scrapman's cargoplane is the Trailmakers equivalent of the PBY-5A Catalina. The low level tank of the sky that takes multiple fighters to take down... if they can get past the 4 turrets.

Multiplayer Monday Idea: Kinda related to the switch wheels one. Instead of wheels, you all switch vehicles, last lap will be the creators own vehicle. But the objective is to make the vehicle uncontrollable as possible for your competition but drive-able enough to not screw yourself over in the last lap.

I have an idea for a challenge that may or may not work. It's a first person dog fight, BUT, The cockpit has to be solid, so you can't see it out of it. This way you'd have to rely on name tags and sensors you put in the cockpit like altitude sensors and/or a compass block to display your altitude and if you are right side up or not. It will probably really difficult and might not work, but it's worth a shot, right?

that double-wing setup for the cargo plane is actually a really good idea because wings make drag, so if one set of wings gets shot off, the set above (or below) it will work in its place, and the plane will go faster
