Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

5:28 Interesting thing about the bomb launcher is that the bombs actually do have some amount of angular momentum applied to them when they spawn. If you attach launchers to a helicopter engine and launch while it's spinning, they'll actually spread out in arcs instead of just falling straight down. Haven't gotten around to trying it myself, but I wonder if you could make a literal bomb "thrower" that catapults them via centrifugal force

At least for engagements that only last 2-3 seconds. All other weapons just struggle too much with locking on to something that's passing that fast, even though they theoretically deliver more projectiles or more damage per projectile.

If make an air-battle again, you could try to build an "only-wing" plane. Because "all" parts make lift, you could take a lot of beating.

That would probably have the opposite effect. Because every part would generate lift, losing even one part would shift the center of lift and completely throw off the balance of the plane.

You should make an air vehicle with a parasite fighter to defend itself

You could do a full naval battle with a big enough group. Have 2 people in Destroyers, the Destroyer being the main objective to win. As well some people in bombers/fighters to assist in taking out the enemy destroyer. Mix boats and flight with the new weapons. For the setup, the Destroyers would get an insanely high weapon count as well as a speed cap. That way, no matter how big the Destroyers are built, you'll be able to get it moving at a decent nautical speed. For the bomber/fighters you get 1 minigun and 1 bomb bay, as well as have a max speed that is twice the Destroyers speed.

You should do a build swap. Make a vehicle first, after one round swap your vehicles and add to it. Although i don't really know how this would go if Yzuei uses complex building techniques

My Dad worked with the AN/TWQ-1 Avenger (picture a jeep with a missle turret on the back). The turret carries 8 anti-air stinger missiles and a really big machine gun, and it can be controlled via remote. I got to be there as a kid during one of the rollouts where they were showing them off. It was awesome. They even gave us kids a turn at controlling the turret (unarmed of course). Very slick piece of hardware.

8:55 that is the ju88 (junkers ju88) and it was also called the štuka (pronounced shtuka) And whenever it dived the wind passing through would create the siren terrifying the allies but also giving away their position making easy targets sometimes

from my own AA vehicle experiments I've found Miniguns are the best for the same reason Flak was used historically; thowing up curtains of lead makes hits way more likely.

I did this with a couple friends, seeems very hard for the ground vehicles to fire back while driving so we ended up doing 2 players in the ground vehicle with a manned turret. Wish we could turn off the npc's so the big red baloons don't interrupt you.

What about a plane into plane docking challenge? One makes a big carrier style that could support, the other makes a dogfighter style with an attachment block and the fastest to hook on to the carrier wins.. parameters should be that the carrier is much slower than the dogfighters, so it takes skill to make the dock.

Well, you said stop the land vehicle at all costs, and you said the only restriction is a single weapon, and that is a single bomb bay... what if I made a vehicle that had a giant detachable brick and/or wedge that the enemy gets crushed by... or a detachable roadblock... wait no I'm gonna make a plane with a detachable grounding mechanism that sticks to the car and is so long and tall that the victim can't move or destroy the thing keeping them in place. It can even use pistons and sensors, and once the sensors detect a vehicle under them, it can extend the pistons with some of the anchor blocks, and there can be sensors that wait until they detect a block a few blocks in front of them, and those can override the other sensors and retract the pistons (or for funny effect, just detach the sensors that wait for a vehicle to go under them and drop them onto the vehicle) and it can be so long and so tall that you would have to aim for hours if you made a tank-style vehicle to even *try* to hit the legs of the _spindly_ *_spindly_* long beast!... Detachable Blocks and Anchor Pins, here I come...
