Khelthrai Hellbane it may be extremely acidic or basic, meaning that it would corrode/dissolve the bots. The chemicals seem very strong - you start taking damage immediately after jumping into it.

A good logging Idea is instead of having it vertical you cut the tree down and lay it horizontally across your vehicle, there for you not so top heavy and won’t slide as much. A bit like a real lumber mill works

The only suggestion for a logging machine I can give is to avoid frame loss as much as possible. I have a logging machine that works beautifully as long as I am getting over 30 frames. If I am getting 20 or less frames, the saw blades don't interact with the wood and the whole thing slows WAY down.

With the /unlimited tag after editing the game files, the chemical container was there for a while and worked the same way. There is also a Seed Container and a Fertilizer container. With custom models and everything.

I have an idea for a tree logger! This is how it goes... 1) Build a functional and wide vehicle that has some space from the front to the middle(make sure it runs on one or two electric engines to handle the weight). 2) Add a contraption that can ascend and descend with the help of wheels and the railings(make sure that you have a saw on it). 3) Add some stuff that will keep the tree in place at the center and also disconnect it. 4) Add some railings that, extend from the the tree stabilizer and aligns with the tree-grinder, and continues to extend as high as you can. 5) Add some stabilizers(add even MORE cacti stabilizers than the amount that you have for the current logger). 6) Add a refiner, a few medium chests, and a couple of containers. Now why would this be more effective? 1) You will be grinding the tree at the middle and so its weight is distributed evenly(unlike the current logger) 2) With the tree-grinder (make sure you grind the tree from the top-bottom), you can adjust it till it works. 3) You will be refining as you go.

About the logger, just detach it and put it on a bearing so it rests on the top of your vehicle, lowering the center of mass, but also allowing the vertical grabbing of the tree.

One idea for the chemical chests I can imagine is that if you wanted to automate something constantly crafting like concrete you could use the chemical chest to filter/limit how much is stored at once so it doesn't fill up all of your other regular chest space when they're all connected together but you can leave the vacuum pump on so you always have chemical being collected. Especially since not much gets used in crafting recipes. Kinda wish they would have just added a user selected "filter" option on regular chests so they would automatically organize themselves by type.

For the logger. Keep the same design. But put blades down the spine one you buggy, then after cutting the tree, lay it down the on the Centure blades, all of the tree gets cut up at once. And whop, Straight into the holding cages.

The chest you need to be at a certain range around it to keep pumping, if you go too far away, it stops. The containers can keep pumping, even far away (at least for the water container, i assume the chemical one works the same).

I have 2 saws in the front to cut the trees down. Then I can drive over the fallen tree (until it hits the stopper by my back wheels) then I have 8 saws swing down to buck up the tree, saws are measured to get 2 log lengths. As I keep driving forward the collector picks up the wood and the refinery chews it up. Also when on uneven ground I will chop several trees down then weld them together in a nice line making it super fast and easy for my machine to buck it all up.

i experimented with cactus stablizers as well and had poor reslts. My solution is to pick up something i have mined and place it like a post next to my vehicle to stop it moving in that direction. Now stable.

1 saw logging machine, U shape front where you drive around the tree, caged that closes around the tree and 2 pistons that lower and push 1 blade underneath the car into the middle of the cage. 1 collector and refniery on 1 side with an off center U-shape, no springs on the wheels. Pushing down the blade to the ground before pushing it into the tree will also make you more stable while grinding. using some bearing driven latches to close the cage and 1 sawblade it takes me under 1 minute to chew up the big type of tree
