They Recreated My Scrap Mechanic VTOL, and More of YOUR Best Builds!

The ISV Venture Star has a massive solar panel at the tail for power generation, with the drive systems, fuel pods and radiators at the far end, and docking sections for shuttles partway down. The rotating weights you noticed were the crew/passenger habitats- they were intended to be folded in and locked while the ship is under thrust, and extended and spinning while the ship is coasting/in orbit. That way, there are always sections with gravity, whether generated by centrifugal force, or from thrust (and if you note, the outermost sections when they rotate are the rearmost sections when they are locked, so the relative down for anyone inside is going to be consistent). They're located closer to the solar panels than the drive section to help protect the occupants from any radiation or exhaust from the engines.

@@BritainThunder3 thanks! all around, with flight performance fine tuning it took me about 10 hours to build and i even have a sub-sonic version with flares. but i'll see to uploading a bunch more of my recreations to the YBB threads when they come around and i'll also see to start making videos on trailmakers tutorials

Friend wanted to suggest a ScrapMechanic multiplayer idea: Competitive survival mode. Instead of working together, you would split off and compete for resources, with goals like the first Spudgun, or the first Warehouse, etc. or goals like who can get the biggest farm.

I believe most real life military planes on short runways make use of a catch system,scrapman. They use either like a chain or a rope and just have the pilot line up and go half speed,hoping to be caught be one. If it doesnt catch they speed back up to try again. That is how you would hand with no drag,just line up and get caught by something with give/is loose. Also in your crashlander survival on scrap mechanic i still wanna suggest a utility truck with the outside cabinets because that would leave more trunk space for anything large you gotta carry again

The way the gimmick in the video Virtual Insanity was done, was by having a bunch of guys pushing around the room (set) with a fixed camera in a airplane hangar, while the couches could get suspended from the walls or released accordingly.

Tip for ScarpMan: I'm a long time viewer of your channel, seen vast majority of your vids and they are great just have one issue. Could you please pay more attention/focus to the control scheme and show them also in build mode (for all the best builds). They are after all the best creations that you picked and they deserve more time and recognition. Some people spend a lot of time and effort on their builds in hope that you will feature them on your channel, but sometimes you just miss a lot of the features. I mean it in the best way possible. Love your videos just really feel that some builds deserve more love, especially your communities best builds. Thank you.

Man, I wish Trailmakers was crossplay. I've built some pretty interesting stuff I'd submit, such as my tank cannon gatling gun AA truck, or a pretty nice replica SR-71 Blackbird. Working on a bipedal Mech Warrior now and trying to get it to walk without Gyro, gimbal jets, or thrusters as well.
