Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

@@AlrenClan there is a glider that have a engine at the top of it, a glider engine normally work as sustainer, so its made to keep glider in the air longer from what i understand ( it does not looks like pure gliding tho)

Dogfight suggestion, create a plane that constantly drops bombs like you did a few videos ago (with a slower drop rate) and with guns pointing up that are constantly firing so in order for you to shoot down your enemy you have to be directly above or below them while dodging their bullets or bombs yourself

This would make a great evolution battle. With every round, you get heavier (50kg increments) and use bigger weapons.

I have a suggestion for a future video: one of you must build a balloon (like one from air expension) that is able to rise into the air, move in all directions, but the balloon must only use a launcher missiles for himself. defense and the other has to build a bomber-style plane, but he can only use dropper-bomb to attack the balloon

13:04 This shot is so cool, because you manage to tag Yzuei as he's gliding under you, but the recoil pushes you backwards so you catch your tail and it flips you around- just in time to point strait back at Yzuei and nail his cockpit. Edit: without even a lockon! I just realized rewatching this that ScrapMan just fired blindly at EXACTLY the right time to pull this off.

Some suggestions: - Another glider round, with 50 blocks max and 2 weapons for more redundancy and more of the second minigun round. - A ship to ship battle, but with broadside ships and not weapons, but 4 or 5 snowball dispensers per side (they are not aimed and more or less resemble the guns of the old days). If the snowball dispensers can be made to shoot the balls and not just drop them, which I honestly don't know. - Bombing run and defense: Each builds a bomber (60 parts) and fighter (30 parts) plane and you set a start point and a target. The fighter has 2 smartcannons and the bomber... (drumroll) 1 bomb bay (and one smart cannon facing back). You each bomb and defend in one round (so, kind of 2 flights in one round), and the person to bomb and defend in the same round wins. The fighter has, say, 2 respawns to enforce some tactical thinking. - Variation of the above: Bombing run and turret defense. - Co-Op: Smart bomb: Each builds a bomber and a bomb (or just the bomb) - the bomb has 4 fins for slight control (not flying, not gliding but controlled falling) and a seat, the amount of parts to be determined so that the bomb looks like a bomb. The bomber's size will be determined from that. So you'll have to make a generic smartbomb first, which in my mind is just 4 dynamites, a seat, a part to hold the fins and the 4 fins. 5 bombing rounds on a large target each, where the ring with the least value hit counts (or it'll just be 5 bulls-eyes all the time). The person with the most points wins. - You shall not land!: Each person builds an aircraft carrier (medium speed and slow to very slow maneuverability) and a plane. The target is to land on the carrier while the carrier moves and wiggles to not allow that. The faster lander wins, if the carrier gets too badly damaged add a time penalty to the landing time. - Flip: Each person builds a car that can drive and do front- and backflips, and while driving at a set speed has to do both and land while still able to drive. That is, first backflips, then respawn and then frontflips. The person with the most flips wins, maybe do a best-of-x if that looks like a 10-second video 🙂 - Variation of the above: Add side flips, 360's and maybe even combinations! - Fast lander: An inverted glider challenge, jump off a cliff (one at the time) and the faster to land with a still-drivable vehicle wins. - Variation of the above: EVOLUTION! - Variation of the above: DE-volution! - Trebuchet: For a given trebuchet you build the ammunition: A big ball with a gokart seat inside for minimal controllability in the air. That way you can try and aim a little bit while in the air, making it more fun to play and watch. Detaching the ammunition is done manually from the seat, so the trebuchet should be able to swing through and over. Then you set a few targets at varying distances, and the person with the most points wins.

Neat! In the previous season of Scott Manley's combat tournament in Kerbal Space Program, one round was glider-fighters... but on Jool. So like, 100 kilometers to fall in the increasingly thick atmosphere of a green gas giant, with speeds varying enormously from 200-ish m/s up high, to 20 down in the thick, crushing atmosphere near the hard deck.

scrapman should have put 2 1x4 shields on the bottom of the seat instead of the connectors, that would have probably evened the odds on the smart cannon round. Great videos though! Keep it up!

Maybe an air battle where you can only fire over a certain speed, I’m not sure if it’s possible tho. Second idea maybe put explosives on cars and do an explosive bumper car battle. Anyways still amazing videos the both of you make my day a million times better.

Quadcopter battles. You guys mastered the loops when releasing from the that launcher, so try mastering the flips with a quadcopter while shooting the other player/players down. Or maybe have a 2 on 1 battle ...

I'd love to to see a multi-player Monday where you each tell your subscribers /discord rules for building a vehicle and then you both pick a vehicle from your subscribers to battle. Instead of a build at the beginning you test out the creations and pick one. Kind of a combo of MM and showing off subscriber creations

Here's an idea: using that blimp system you used to drop the gliders you create rings to fly through (each ring with a different max level) and place them at different points on the island before launching them and have a plane race battle (race with guns). Granted only potential issue for this would be if there rings despawn after getting a set distance away from the player...if so I guess the idea could still work if they were closer to the ground within the spawn radius of the player (or you can just build towers attached to the ground with rings on it if the floating ring idea doesn't work). Winner would be the first one through the finish (could make that ring look unique) and could even throw laps in if it feels too short without them and of course unlimited repairs. Would basically be Mario Kart (though only 1 weapon unless you decide to put multiple weapons on the plane with different buttons for firing each) in the air so being in first may not matter much as if you get taken out before the finish you may wind up losing anyway. Hell if the rings could work in the water/underwater you could even apply it to a boat/submarine race too.

You guys should do a mech battle where your main movement it from mechanical walking, but you can use thrusters for extra speed, but then you could attach either smart cannon, minigun or rocket to your mech.

Have you guys done a more battleship style combat on the water? I would love to see you two fight on the high seas with like 200 peices but 2 weapons. They arent allowed to face forward and it's on the water map in high wave areas, even near the giant mouth.

Jousting dog fight no fireable weapons only melee weapons and try the best to destroy the other player by flying into them and destroying their build but you still have to be able to fly away after the collision to be the winner. Although difficult I think it would be fun and funny to see and the block max would be 125-175 blocks and 12 power cores I think it would be really interesting and I would love to see it in a video 😁

I got two ideas: 1 A car-plane dogfight. 2 A rocket dogfight. (no control sufaces and you can only use forward thrust, you turn with helecopter engines and you have a minimum speed you need to fly or a speed sensor will trigger an explosive)

Suggestion: Ship of the line Naval battle. Limitations: Ship wheel ,black powder cannons and sails. No block or power core limits. I would love to see massive broadsides.

The issues Scrapman had werethat his seat was entirely unarmoured to the sides and underneath, both of which he exposed to Yzuei more than his top. Honestly, pretty sure his seat protection ended up with about the same weight.

I think Scrapboi should have put some more weight on that thing, the recoil and the aerodynamics would have way less of an impact but he may then needed one more wing piece, but I thing it would have been worth it (I'm at 5:36 ) Edit: and he would be able to 'boom and zoom' so he could dogde bullets esier without losing to much momentum otherwise very good Video, like all of Scrapman :)

Dog fight list (flying or not.) Tractor, ufo, dog mecs, animal mecs, tank, ball (circle shaped thing). Other video ideas make a house where one room is one build and you have a build with a magnet on it so you but the rooms together and its a hole house.

here's an idea that would definitely get me fired: forklift jousting. You each make a forklift, and then try to damage each other with the forks. Additional idea: put a bomb in front of the seat, and try to hit your opponent's bomb with your forklift arms

okay so would putting the cannon on a server on the bottom of the plane making it be able to also shoot backwards would that be considered an illegal move if you shot backwards like not doing it to gain speed or anything but just to have more aim would that be considered illegal?

Build a flying vehicle in Juno New Origins, you tried rockets before, u should have started with planes and worked your way up to rocket building, its the only way I got a feel for the aero physics of the game.

Trigger discipline was definitely your main issue there, you had the better glider, but couldn't make use of it because you bled off all your airspeed blazing away at thin air.

I’d like to suggest again a water skimmer battle: Boat battle but with all the propulsion above water, kinda like Seaspray from the original Transformers show. It could be 150-175 block limit and a special gunpowder cannon round at the end.
