A very closely-matched final group - DNF's were pivotal. The Cougars were edged out by a Mustang in the Muscle Car Tournament and it's happened again - this time by a Mustang and a van! Will there be a third time..... ?

Those Cougars are a strong car, but they just seem to fall just short in the finals. Same thing happened in the Muscle Car tournament earlier in the season.

Lap 5 should have been rerun as it may have determined the final outcome. The Cougar in the outside front row did not have the speed of the Mustang (who eventually finishes second in the final outcome). With the Mustang challenging the Van in Lap 5, there certainly could have been a different outcome due to expected contact and almost certainly, the Van doesn't run sub-6, which was part of the official explanation.

Great end to that series congrats to all who got past the rest of the field to compete. Sam in a van almost has a Dr. Suess vibe to it. Is there a reason why that time clock at the finish can't be prettied up a bit? The rest of the track is looking so good then that clock face just looks so plastic and with those screws showing. Maybe some cool sticker signs. Could have the Monster Motorsports logo or even better the logo of whatever racing series you're currently running.
