Now that's a true citizen of his country. He runs a business that helps cut down on pollution and dumping (not sure across the pond, but in the states auto parts and broken down vehicles are one of the most frequently abandoned/dumped items). He seems to cherry pick the LEAST eligible workers, which can change lives in ways that can't even be anticipated; giving a sense of self worth, learning REAL WORLD skills that can help both personally and employment, gives these guys a way to make a living that keeps them off the dole and away from welfare....

catalytic converter n. A reaction chamber typically containing a finely divided catalyst (usually platinum and other metals such as rhodium, palladium, and gold) into which exhaust gases from an automotive engine are passed together with excess air so that carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon pollutants are oxidized to carbon dioxide and water, and nitrogen oxides are reduced to nitrogen and oxygen gases.

Neither the women nor the man doing the menu know anything about pricing. Cost price each item used to make something, e.g a sandwich - 2 slices of bread, butter (or margarine), filling (including things like salad, pickles, etc.), wrapping, then triple the price. That allows 1/3 for ingredients, 1/3 wages, and 1/3 utilities and washing up, etc., 1/3 profit. A little work to start but make a list of each item along with cost and there is a handy table ready for any eventuality. No guessing, no chancing or anything like that.
@MotoMaffoo695 жыл бұрын
Maths is not your strong point is it? and you're trying to give them a lesson on pricing? you can't have 4 lots of 3. Imbecile.
@clarissamcpigeon78575 жыл бұрын
That's not how it works. The item costs £1 to produce, so they triple the price and sell it for £3. That puts them £2 up. But simply splitting that £2 into thirds means the "profit" is evenly divided three ways and spent on other things, which means no actual profit at all. They could scale up the operation by putting more bacon rashers on the grill etc., which would use the same amount of energy but cook more bacon, which could then be sold at the marked up price.

Sorry to interrupt! My elderly aunt has a large collection of Motor Sports magazine dating back to 1943. They were collected and lovingly kept in very good condition by her late husband who was an engineer and a car enthusiast. She doesn't want to keep them as she's looking to downsize her home. She's giving them away for free to anyone who's willing to pick them up at her home (she lives in north London), sending them via post is not practical as they are quite heavy and she's not able to manage it. It would make her day knowing the magazines go to someone who will appreciate it as much as her late husband. If anyone is interested, please send me a message. Cheers!
