hows the oil mess 🙃 ? Too bad you didn't know about that. On my virgin "first" I didn't know it either...but know just genle cut with a grinder and let it dip overnight 😉 other thing....the wire is definately COPPER (check again) but tin coated - I am 100% sure!!

@@DragonAtelier I'll check the wire again, but either way I wouldn't melt it because of the coating. Yeah now that it happened I'm going to drill any kind of pump to make sure there is no oil.

Another great video!!! Love watching tear down videos. First tool of engineering: If it won’t come apart, or go together, get a hammer. Second rule of engineering: If it still won’t come apart, or go together, get a bigger hammer. Stay safe.

Nice teardown man. That first wire you cut into actually is copper. It is “tinned” copper. Nice little score of copper. Great job!

@@HeinrichsMade None of the copper we melt is pure after its casted. By melting it, we are introducing oxidation to the metal. Just melt it with your #2 copper and be on your way. No point in not saving it just because it's worth a few cents cheaper than #1.

Yeah man 😂😂. The fans I do don't have oil. I wonder why sump pumps have oil. Next time, I'll drill a hole in it to check.
