There is also silver contacts in the relays. Edit and the heavy copper plate from the relay is almost always copper plated steel.

That’s normally all I do is take any copper aluminum and brass but there is lots of neat stuff to learn with ewaste I find! I just can’t sell boards or anything here in Alberta Canada. Thanks for enjoying Bro

@@BushDogScrapper in Ont, the relays have silver in every single one, if you're lucky you can find vintage ones with gold contacts. The capacitors can go into dirty aluminum which is what I do, mossfets have trace amounts of gold ~ 0.003% but it adds up fast you get around 0.33gr per kilo.

Here in Australia copper varies for the rates from a $1 say for Christmas lights, up to $4 a kg for the good shit. My local yard gives me $3.20 for everything mixed. I don't have to cut the plugs off, only transformer type. Cheers Graham

sometimes you can pull the wires out of the white connectors, if the internal connector comes out with the wire, cut it off. Check for brass.

Use the lid from an old washing machine, it's got a nice lip on it, and you can set it on your lap to micro scrap.

Nice video, thanks for being so thorough with your scrap. I go after all the bits also. And yes, it is a bit tedious trying to film and work at the same time. There are gold bond wires in those three legged transistors also. Go back and look at the tips of the copper strips you pulled out of the relays. Believe I saw some buttons at the end. Those are usually high content silver. What did that board come out of? I have found 4 of those gold balls in my scrapping career and they came from two pole red switches that look similar to yours. I found mine in Jet Direct cards from old printers. I’ve subscribed :). Cheers.

you need to throw that adjustable plier in the frigging bin or repurpose it , what a pain in the ass , i reuse old pliers and the likes for turning into wire or component cutters . being left handed makes it look so awkward .
