I also wanted to say that I check the transformers to see if the copper content is worth removing or not since I am fortunate to live about 4 hours away from Boardsort drop off location, it's quite an upgrade in price from transformer(.10 cent my yard) to low grade(.40 Boardsort). The wire in the fuse is silver, the diodes have small bond wires in them also (you tossed it into the shred after, save them with your transistors) have fun.

So, been seeing all these videos on mosfets and how there are traces of gold. Processed 368 grams of various size transistors/mosfets from different sources, absolutely zero gold. Did get the copper tho. Not giving up......have a new pile forming from computer power supplies and old plasma tv boards. We'll see. Also gathering up the ceramic capacitors in hopes of silver and/or palladium

@@silver_salvage_savage I watched a video and he did 3.25 pounds of various sizes and recovered .55 of a gram of gold. I’ve never done it so I don’t really know lol.

I saw a guy from Canada saying you can sell the flyback transformers as a repair part. I see them on eBay with that whole cord going for $5-10 or more depending on the model.

This was fantastic, thank you!! Question: Now that you've "depopulated" those low-grade boards, will boardsort still buy them as low-grade boards?
@scrapitall2008 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes they will because there is still stuff that can contain silver such as resistors and ceramic capacitors Thank you for watching

Good video, I did extreme micro scraping in January.It was so cold here, you really couldn't do anything outside.I was taking EVERYTHING apart. By the way, if you don't mind me asking what state do you live in?
