Yeah, too bad they did not work, but glad I could wrap them at least.

The wires only has one coating, why are they not 60 percent
@TinManScrapper4 ай бұрын
@@eltonbrazier2295 unfortunately now with prices of copper going up, the yard is now saying that 60% is more like romex wire now (household wire). It was weird because I passed 3 times with one coated appliance wire as 60% and then they came out and said no! I think sometimes it depends on who is working the scale and if the boss is in.

I'm getting the business when it come to prices and grades of scrap. Was told my appliance wire (lamp cords, vacuum cords, extension cords) was considered PC wire and was offered $0.39/lb. I laughed and took it home with me. Have over 200 lbs. Only getting $0.50/lb for aluminum siding and down from there. Bout done with it. Scrapyards around me have become the biggest metal thieves around

@@silver_salvage_savage yeah, I get petty annoyed sometimes going in and them telling me one thing and pricing me a certain way and then turn around and change the grade and price for the exact same things the next time I go in. They say “oh the other person must have made a mistake” Even after showing receipts from 2 previous times “I laughed and said they made the same mistake twice” lol
