You guys have to be excellent friends to even consider a forklift build. Its quite tired and has many miles left as is but then who knows what it means to you.. a higher building means a lift for you should your finances improve or even wildfire might sponsor a lift. Yeah I fed into this as usual. I honestly do hurt some of those comments of "I quit" or just scrap it and forget it. Your a eccentric person who seems to gather some relief from the haters by hurting the ones who truly do care about you. Of course I am to dang broke to support your channel as I do believe I used to. I just don't remember too much anymore. My health has gone down again.... I ask god regularly when will it end

snow climates are dryer. A lot of people think it is damp. but it is dry. That is why it feels so much colder. the air is so thin it goes right though your clothes. My wifes family from Toronto calls it damp cold. I am like NOPE......I was in the Midwest it was 36 degrees Fahrenheit and snowing.....that was damp. I always recommend disassembly for all my projects. It makes disposal easier and can be done in small amounts weekly in my regular trash can, thereby avoiding dealing with the hassles of listing them for sale and all that goes with that. For fellas like myself who can't seem to stop dragging every pile of crap I find home, my wife finds it an effective way to handle the overflow. You putting yours back together in better shape than what you started with is another approach I hadn't considered.

You are lucky with the climate being dry. Where I live bare metal tends to get rusty within 24 hours. so I often blow some low cost spray paint on fenders and such in order to prevent it getting rusty. I even experienced that my Arizona desert car started to have the cracked paint lifting and rust starting underneath. And that happened in a barn under a roof and not outside.

The snowball effect. Back in the early 80's, supposed to be a quick freshen up on beaten down hard '57 D-100. My first vehicle. '69 Fury for a parts car. What could go wrong? Middle of using the tired drive train, we thought lets up grade to IFS. That was the easy part, '69 fury front clip slid over the outside of the original frame rails. But when we went to install the cab, realized that the engine sat back a lot further, and a wider track width. A good part of the firewall had to be cut out, torsion bars cranked up for tire clearance, I wanted to chop the top, but with the wrap around rear window, it was not feasible. Would I do it again, NEVER. Over 40 yrs. later still have her. Going back through her. Ditched the idea of Dakota frame swap, just clean up what we did in a small garage. And I mean it was beat- Sask. DNR truck, 2 of my uncles used it for a farm truck, my late father had it for a shop truck.
