So since you are on a limited budget, are you doing the Johnny Cash "one piece at a time" project? Today '40 Ford fenders tomorrow a couple of doors, next week and engine and a trunk? by this time next year you could have a whole car! - Great work by the way!

Kyle do you think a person can do a good job using flux core wire in a mig gun doing this kind of work?
@CarterAutoRestyling5 сағат бұрын
Don't waste your time and money with flux core. Use 70/30 argon c02 mig mix on autobody sheetmetal

You got rid of the rust and made it presentable In my book it’s a win 👍🏻

Really enjoyed watching this video, I have one of these cars and I'm not trying to waste a bunch of money on it myself, so seeing your techniques was definitely something I was interested in. Never seen anyone "restore" one of these before so it was refreshing to see. I don't have a garage or indoor space to work on mine, nor do I have a welder or welding skills, so I am at the mercy of the elements in my backyard. Been very slowly doing a fender repair over the past few weeks and I will definitely have to do a the passenger rear dogleg soon. Will all be done with fibreglass mat, long/short strand and bondo filler. Good stuff, definitely funny to see new metal go over top old rusty rocker panels n stuff, but that was clearly stated in the disclaimer. Would have been better to take off those fenders as they hide a lot of rust behind them as well lol, but yeah you said it yourself. Regardless, I enjoyed the rocker panel replacements, I need to do mine as well. Great outcome. Thanks for the vid!

Hey for a quickie that was a pretty good job. Like I used to say our inspector gives it passing marks and two thumbs up when he check it. But the ordeal is he looks at when it’s in motion at 50mph in a severe snowstorm and he happens to be blind. But two thumbs up and it looks great to him. So I am satisfied.

I'm thinking they make the point of the bluish tapping tool so pointy is cause it's easier for them, and they leave it up to the user to fine tune it for their used...hey, just me putting my 2 cents in...

I've been watching some of your videos and, even when you speed up and look like you are really moving, you seem to spend about half of your time looking at your work and planning your next move. Now, I don't know if all that evaluation is necessary. I've got a guy at work named Jackhammer Jerry, and he doesn't waste time looking at stuff. He just hits things rapidly and repeatedly, hoping that something good will happen. And that guy gets shit done! I think that people like you and me, who assess every detail, maybe we need to change our approach. What is that saying? Too much assessment makes an ass out of you and me! Something like that. Anyway, keep banging away!

Kyle, That was one of the most professional examples of turd polishing on the planet! Curious though, all those sparks, no fire? I miss the Saskatchewan Bar-B-Que? Anyway your Louisiana Lap Welding and metal skills are top notch. 👍 That was a awesome display of rattle can skills, the car looks great, but what do I know, I'm only here for the cats, dry humor and music selection anyway..
