After doing a few scrapping videos, I figure people are probably a lot more interested in answering one question; how much can you make from scrap metal? I decided to put together this video specially tailored to answer this question by taking some common parts and averaging them out so people can get an idea of their relative values. Used car parts? A few folks have mentioned the music was an issue in this one. I suspect they are all referring to one particular piece right near the middle, for which there is a simple explanation: I forgot to delete that audio clip before rendering. Oops. You might notice it doesn't line up with anything in particular and starts and ends suddenly. This is why. It was a mistake, I don't intend to fix it. Thanks for sticking with me despite the occasional human error :)

Yeah, I did buy a set of 4, then i found a set on kijiji for free (!) and the chrome ones were all in a big rolloff bin. I probably could have sold the chrome ones if they hadn't hit the pavement so hard when I tossed them out, hehe

Absolutely! Not much usually, just steel shred because they’re thin but check them with a magnet because some of them are stainless

I am a corebuyer in the us radiators are worth about 2 aluminum.....rims 12....batterys 12....copper rads 10-20 cars and pickups ......alot more for semi rads...

I think a round of rotor discus is always a great stress reliever ;) We can bring tires to the dump at no cost as long as it's less than 12 at a time.

That's worked out for me before but I promise you: if we both had a set of tires to dismount with no intention of using the rims or tires afterwards, I would be finished and eating my lunch before you got back from the tire shop. Now if the goal is to still have useful rims, well that's a whole different story ;)

I know the other vids dont mean much but its my liveihood.i mean,i dont have a channel myself but i learn from others.i know a lot but i like to be surprised once in a while.moose scrappers a perfect example.if i could bottle pick here like you i would.i would likely give up scrapping to do it but here in the US we dont have that kind of program nationwide.i can see however why you dont,as canada goes your scrap prices suck,especially steel and your paid CAD which means i have to knock off 25% to get what you would receive in USD.I do like your vids though.

I get up thinking wonder how much money I'm gonna make and what I'm gonna find. I dont think I'm gonna go back to working for someone else . See where this goes. Big fan of your videos.

TheDeathwalker86 thanks! Glad it’s been working out for you so far. There are good days and bad days, like with anything. I think the one problem with doing something like scrapping (or any self employment) as a full time thing is there’s no retirement plan built in so remember to make one!
