Well, that was fun...I did not comment any during life stream...I came in a little late but did listen to most of it. Was in and out a bit...but I sewed for a least an hour and half during it. I so agree about Creative Grid rulers...I used to almost hate cutting fabric but once I started with them, that all stopped. I still screw up every now and then, but it is me...not the ruler.

Those simple irons from last century can be yours for $3.00 at charity resale stores. For the cost of these pretty O's, I would think they would work. Ps. Be sure to deduct them on your Schedule C ;-)

Definitely deduct my irons. 😉. I’m hesitant about buying old electrical type items from thrift stores. I’ve always had a fear of electrical fires. I should give them a try and just replace the cords 🤔

@@rsislandcrafts I've never had a problem. Don't get anything with heavy wear. First use, close attendance. I only had fail if I dropped it on the floor repeatedly. My rule: never leave workstation with iron on; older ones retain & reheat quickly. Yet about annually I manage to leave on overnight; no problems, just big elec bill, lol. /life story on irons

Great tips. Thanks! I’m very careful with my irons. I use a surge protector that gets turned off every night. The cats help me to remember not to leave things on when not in use. My daughter’s cats like to chew cords. Although I have dropped an iron or two 😱

My son, Will is getting married next Saturday in Phoenix. What’s the forecast for then.

Congratulations!! Phoenix is 26 miles east of Surprise where I’m at. For me they’re saying no rain expected for the next 10+ days. We usually have the same forecast as Phoenix. Highs around 108-115. It’s hot but there’s been a breeze and the feel like temps are usually 5-10 degrees lower. I imagine it’s an inside wedding or if it’s outside in tents they’ll have fans and misters. It should be a nice day for the newlywed couple. Have fun!
