why is there a spacer under the cylinder? is the rod longer to compensate that ?

How did you spilt the block?

Just wait for full Moon :D (Or use a plastic/rubber hammer and gently convince the block to split)

Crank seal was lip facing out towards balance shaft gear Is that correct way 🤔

Experts are torn apart by the question which way it should face. Either way seems to work, in the manual it says facing towards the counterbalance gear :)
