ScrapVulture, I guess you are not aware of this but you can put a bolder on top of the trash lids and a raccoon can still remove them to get what they want. I saw a video clip where two people put a heavy bolder rock on top of their trash can lid and you can see a raccoon come up and grab it with both paws and toss it out of the way.

Thrift store dumpsters would be a great place to look for replacement parts for missing game pieces. I love the way you treat your cats and dogs, and the wild baby raccoons. You are correct! Those little raccoons would surely have died had you not taken your time and compassion to save them. We feed ours on our 10 acres and they are really gentle creatures. They knock on the back door when they need more food or water. Our grand and great grandchildren love them also.

If you look on ebay you would see "game pieces and parts", those games in the dumpster had game pieces that you could have sold - many were SOLD on ebay for $6 and up! That is a wonderful thing you did to rescue those racoons, you are wonderful!

Hey, I just saw a piece of red fabric furniture. I had the same exact fabric and color about four years ago. The furniture was antique but the fabric was rotten. I wanted to get the couch and chair reuppoltured but I had to move and I couldn't keep them. The fabric ripped when I put it out to the curb and I found, attached by a cheap chain, a metal finger nail file, a finger nail clipper and cuticle scissors. I sanitized them and I still have them till this day.

Those totes are the best, I do not have any storage space for linens and my towels in my studio.so I use Rubbermaid totes.It's the same dumpuster everytime.So happy you find them and let the out Stay safe in all you do
