Beautiful! Excellent and professional. If I only had the patience and time.

Thank You very much, especially for your videos on the wing design, construction (the wing profile templates 👌) and its vacuuming, and the data posted on the online interface. I just finished the plane recently and maybe I managed to set it up. Thank You again and I wish You many more joyful minutes of DLG flying! ✌

As for the boom, I buy it from the website below. That’s the only part I don’t build by my self. www.hyperflight.co.uk/products.asp?code=CARBON-BOOM-18-8&name=18mm-8mm-x-1m-tapered-carbon-boom

I finally finished mine DLG according to your instructions. It has 275g but flies well. what is the CG? Currently I have it on first third of the wing (55mm). I had to trim it a little bit UP with the elevator (1mm up)...is this because of an angle of attack or because I have CG to far ahead?
@kousakunin20082 жыл бұрын
Congratulations! It depends on your taste. I think a little rear side might be better between 37%(61mm) to 40%(66mm). You can refer Dr. Mark Drela's method below. www.charlesriverrc.org/articles/supergee/cg_trim.pdf

One more question. What should be the best settings?…currently my Cruise is 0mm, thermal 4mm down and speed 2mm ailerons up. Brake is about 35mm. For no normal flying aileron goes 14mm up and 12mm down.

very nice - I am embarking on a polyhedral DLG at the moment - I like your wing wiring connector I may need to borrow that - your tail must be light as you only have two servos in the nose to balance it out - I am undecided whether to put 4 servos in the wing or just two for the ailerons and four inboard - I am using a lot of your techniques, but also a few of my own 3D printed mould ideas - forum.alofthobbies.com/index.php?threads/polyhedral-dlg.2027/

Right, tails should be less than 10g. I'm also interested in Yoda. In my experience, If the wing is heavy, the performance will be adversely affected. The method of Yoda is a good solution. If you plan to put 4 servos, two of the four should be placed in the center of the wing.

@@kousakunin2008 my friend has flown the YODA and was impressed enough to order one - he even chopped one of his BAMF wings to poly - also works well (but too much centre dihedral). I am putting epoxy on my fuse tomorrow!
