what an awesome build, so much inspiration, I have some warehouse fronts to do for mine need to have a push on mine lost the drive at the minute with work and a gearbox rebuild at home, but this is giving me the drive to want to get on with it, the weathering and graffiti are spot on thanks for sharing Pete

Hey Pete thanks for the nice comment dude and im glad this is motivating ya! Argh dont get me started on cars, I just had a new clutch put in my WRX so that set me back 2,000, a good chunk out of the modeling budget so I understand your pain man, especially if your doing the rebuild yourself after a full day on the grind! Just not enough hours in the day, hopefully it all works out for ya dude and ya can unwind and chill out with ya layout 😎

Fantastic build ! I use plastic corrugated signs as a backbone. Covered in 30LPI lenticular lense. Lenticular lense looks like corrugated sheet metal. It's expensive but looks the part of HO sheet metal. Great build. Thank you for sharing your talent with modelers world wide.
@TheSteelRoad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it 😎 You know what, as I was building this I was thinking about what other things I could use as the backbone and those corrugated signs popped into my mind as I had drove past a house that was for sale and thats the sort of stuff they use for their "for sale" signs! So thanks for that tip man ill definitely be trying that on my next build!

Very nice and grungy looking building. The tagger crews will attack just about any untouched or clean looking piece of space on a building or locomotive or rolling stock unfortunately. I was a security guard. I’ve written more reports about graffiti than I can count. Looks great!

What would charge for a building like that
@TheSteelRoad3 жыл бұрын
Ooh its hard to tell man, these sort of builds take a few weeks as I just do a little bit after work between other projects and also depends on what materials I use. This one wasnt cheap to make the styrene was about $60 its really expensive here in Australia, but if I was to use card stock or left over pieces it would probably be cheaper, They are fun projects to work on but as always just aint enough hours in a day 😂

This looks fantastic, great job, did you scratch build the doors too ,excellent work
@TheSteelRoad3 жыл бұрын
Cheers James! The doors were actually left over from a walthers kit 'magic pan bakery' but everything else was scratch built. I sometimes go to the dollar store and just buy cheap toys and take them apart to build sci-fi pieces so ive always got random bits laying around and i always keep leftovers from other kits
