This is a gorgeous scene. I love how she holds her hands. ❤

Beautiful Katy as always. I loved the way you did the stars, I have never seen that before. I LOVE finding art or craft products I haven't seen for ages or forgotten I had! You go through , "when did I get this, did I use them, I don't remember" then you lose an afternoon! I see & hear of so many social media people burning out because they load so much, I think you just need to do what's right for you.We will still be here!

Thank you Linda ❤️ ahhh simple twinkling stars 🤩 Ooooh yes it's such a treat finding these lost treasures lol! Ah but it does stop the tidying up process lol Thank you for being so understanding. It's kinda hard to describe the whole video thing right now. I can film the footage but I'm struggling with what to say lol. I'll figure it all out I'm sure. I'll have plenty to show once I have ☺️

Oh gosh Katy what a beautiful piece of art - you really need to start making prints and selling them. I know the feeling about finding things you've not seen for ages, I'm sorting out my journalling and art supplies and get distracted so often. Please, take as much time as you need, your videos are a highlight for me and I'll happily wait forever for one. I've recently deleted facebook and am tempted with getting rid of instagram as well, social media is a blessing and a curse and time away can never be a bad thing. Take care. Jxx

Thank you Jay F ♥️ I'm glad you liked it. I think I may get the Etsy shop set up and actually just sell the originals. I've got so many, I keep thinking about making prints, but it would be so expensive 😞 Ooooh you get hit hard with the distraction too 🤭 I really try so hard to organise and tidy up. I get a bit bored and distracted and end up just working around the new chaos I've made for myself ( until the next time I'm compelled to tidy again 😆) Thank you for being patient with me. I'm really just enjoying working on lino printing and trashing my sketchbook. It's so important to keep enjoying what we do without being too distracted by the need to produce to show. Don't get me wrong I love sharing, but at the moment I just need to create without thinking about it too much! Thank you Jay 🥰

Ah, this turned out so nice! For some reason I'm always drawn to (no pun intended, well maybe...) moon themes in art and keep adding them to my own pieces! I'm also battling with my art space and trying to make it efficient, functional and looking good as well! There are so many things and it just looks chaotic all the time. Then I spend forever looking for a supply that I've moved to a different location 🙄. Always a work in progress.

Thank you Diane O ♥️ I'm glad you liked it. I just can't draw buildings very well and needed a different take on the prompt. Ahhh! Yes I do love drawing the moon! I can be a bit of a moon gazer too and always have been 🌛 I even have a moon phase tattoo! I feel your pain about your art space! I totally agree with it being a work in progress - in fact the hardest WIP 🤣

Hey Katy enjoyed watching you create you piece, I don't think I'll do as well with those neutral colours. Gives me the same vibes as your last months piece, isolated but totally up for an adventure.

Thank you Johnny ❤️ I'm glad you enjoyed watching. The colours were a bit of a challenge tbh. But I always find that ignoring the colours and playing with the tonal values is a good way forward! Yes I think you're right about the feels of both pieces!

Lovely artwork! But judging from what I see the markers didn't not blend too well... Those are waterbase, aren't they?
@KatyRylesArt Жыл бұрын
Thank you Crafting Lady ❤️ they are alcohol based markers. I think the contrast between the tones of grey were a little too far apart for a seamless blend. I thought they were water based to begin with. You don't see a lot of narrow barreled alcohol markers.

Obviously, you don’t have to answer my question as I asked two seconds too early 😂

At least you’re doing ok and that’s all that matters. The pens are they water based or alcohol? Really hope you’re doing ok? Xxx

Thank you Lovely 😍 yeah I'm ok thanks 🥰, just taking it a little easier at the moment. Hope you're ok too ❤️ The pens are alcohol based, it was nice to have a fine tip. Id try some more of these xx
