Thanks for posting this, The Screamers are a band I've been fascinated by since seeing them here in Toronto on Halloween 1978 at The Horseshoe Tavern. I can't forget them 40 years later, that really says something.

The artist N8NOFACE got me into the screamers. I can see where N8 gets his voice from. This band is amazing. I love N8NOFACE's cover of 122 hours of fear on the hoodstocks podcast.

It's such a great feeling when you discover "new" music.

Pat Garrett was one of the founding creators of DANGERHOUSE records in LA and also a member of Black Randy's Metrosquad. Dangerhouse produced many of LAs early punk bands first, and in many cases only, singles. This is the closest thing we would get to a true "Studio Album" by the screamers. Even more so than the Geza X in my opinion, which while are good are still very stripped down compared to these. this stuff is important

The first time I heard "Mater Delores" I was floored. Tomata had some serious Catholic damage (like me). I miss him

I heard this song not too long ago. I never heard a track as sick as this. From start to finish, perfection. I jam this out so hard, volume cranked, flying down the free ways of Phoenix. Such a kool desolate track for such desolate treks.

@@playbackphantasy Hey from downtown Phx! If you ever see a beater hauling ass up I-10, blasting Mater Delores and 122 Hours of Fear full volume, that's usually me getting off work lol

This is great. The first thing I heard from The Screamers was a set of 77-78 demos and there's an annoying hum that runs through it.
@jeffrice64033 жыл бұрын
I was able to remove that hum with some recording software. It still doesn't sound as good as this stuff but I was able to make it more listenable. I'll upload that hum/hiss-free version one of these days.
