Saw this tour in Boston. Blown away. Met Mark and Donna the next day at the record store down the street from my apartment. Then bought my first Trees record.

@@DepthWish Van Conner briefly quit the Trees in '88. Something like the band instituted a rule that spouses or significant others were not allowed to tag along on tour, but Van had recently gotten married and broke the rule. On top of that, apparently no one could stand her, so he bailed and Donna Dresch was hired, only to be booted out by Lee once Van returned. Mark Lanegan claimed she was the Trees single-greatest member, had stage-presence that beat Lee Conner's by a wide margin, and her firing was a huge mistake.

@@hamupinhere And then she played for Dino Jr on an Australian tour after they kicked Lou Barlow out! I think she left Dino of her own accord, though (not many people can handle J's stage volume). Quite a pedigree.

@@hamupinhere Me neither but Gary Lee Connor has put up a couple of studio tracks with DD on bass on his YT channel. Either they're demos or from the unreleased double-album.
