Hi nice tutorial, i want to mount this on my r56 too but I read a lot of comments about losing audio and chimes. Do you have the same problems or you fixed the wiring in another way modifying the ones included in the unit, do you know if this unit supports retro cam?

Hey! I'm installing a similar device. But I get no sound, and that the speedometer lamp goes out and I do not see how much diesel I have in the car on the unit. What can I do wrong?

The Mini chimes and sound comes from the speaker that's included in the kit. Don't forget to connect this speaker to the unit. The speedometer lamp does need to work. If not, try contact the seller of the unit. Maybe your unit is broken.

The board will burn if I plug in the Linbus 6-pin cable, so how should I plug it in?

hi there, just follow your steps. after installation yhe instrument cluster lights dont work the digits are there and runs normal but light are off

do you have a firmware upgrade file for this unit? I have the same unit and after install it just flashes the logo. When I put it in Reverse in shows the view of the back up camera but still flashes on and off. please help

Hey there, I can't figure out the sound wiring. The main plug from the old radio has all the speaker lines coming to the new unit, but this one came with a bunch of AV female plugs. How did you wire it up for sound using stock speakers?

Hi there! I just installed this same unit in my 2009 Mini Cooper R57. Everything is fine: 4G, GPS, radio and videos sounds... except I get no "chime" sounds at all, like emergency light sounds, turning light sounds, seat belt alert, parking sensor beeps... my head unit came with a little speaker which is connected behind and it's supposed to output these sounds. Unfortunately I havent been able to hear any of these sounds. I would really appreciate any idea of what can I do to solve this 🙌🙌🙌

Not sure do you still need info, but the OEM HU has the chimes baked into it. Removing the factory HU will take away all these sounds.

Hello, do your steering wheel controls work? I’m having issues with them, I don’t know where and if I need to connect the key1 and key2 wires. The aliexpress seller says they are not needed and I just need to set the canbus type in settings, but the controls still doesn’t work :/ I also installed a reverse camera but I get no signal, but perhaps I got the solution there (long press on the screen and select a different video type, ntsc, pal for example) About the “chime” sounds, I still have to check them because I’m not working on the car, my mechanic is
