So . . . from someone who has hunted, run a trapline and has a lot of experience with wild animals, if you watch a coyote, a wolf, a bear, a lynx in the process of a hunt or a kill, they don't snarl and growl at their prey. It's just a process for them like you going to the refrigerator. Wolves only snarl and growl at other pack members as a social control response or very rarely if they're in a trap and you get to close to them. Mostly, they just want to get away. But when they hunt they don't "menace" their prey. It's not a thing for them. Still an awesome movie though.

@@drleo6409 Added drama, but it also made the kill look more believable to the people watching remotely. A static target might just have been the beacon after he removed it. A target running through the woods? That looks a lot like a person who is trying to get away.

@@drleo6409 I think the capsule has to be warm, they can detect if it's been taken out. Which is why Aaron put it in his mouth after taking it out. He knew they would have used thermal vision. If he had shot the wolf it wouldn't have shown on the thermal vision, also, it makes it look more realistic if the target they're after is moving. If the target wasn't moving they could have just assumed he cut the chip out of him and they could've sent in a team to look for him.
@richardrejmer87212 жыл бұрын
Only a WARM capsule would give off a signal as a target. . He had to make them think he (the target) was dead by missile strike. Did you notice after he cut the capsule out of himself, he put it in his mouth *to keep it _warm_ * . If he just removed it and let it go cold, they would know he had removed it and they would still keep looking for him. By putting it inside a WARM wolf and letting it run away from him then the drone missile hits the wolf (at a safe distance from the guy) and then that way, they think they got him. . and don't continue going after him.
