this song means the world to me. i didn’t even know if i was pregnant yet, but i’d sing this to the potential baby in my stomach. even after taking a pregnancy test & getting a negative, i always felt like i wasn’t alone. a month later, i found out i was 13 weeks pregnant with my son. this is our song, forever.

This reminds me of my grandpa. About how he was suprised with a beautiful baby girl six months after he did what no parent had to do, bury a child, something that would haunt him till the day he died. My grandmother got a call from the hospital she used to work at and was told about an abandoned baby who needed a good home. All grandpa ever wanted more than anything was to have a daughter. The moment he saw my mom he felt as if he had waited a long time for her. She was his angel and he loved her dearly.

I played and sang this for my mom at my piano and vocal recital; my teacher came and sat next to her during my performance while my dad got up and filmed close to the piano; I actually made her cry (my teacher said mission accomplished)! This past Christmas I got my mom matching mother-daughter bracelets which we both wore on the day of the, as well as Cher's "Dancing Queen" CD (it was the number one item on her list; I bought it on release day and hid it in my desk until I did my Christmas wrapping a few days before). My parents adopted me at 10 months old after struggling for 15 years to have children; my mom had a pelvic laparoscopy done (which came back negative) and my parents had two failed IVF's, they eventually found out my dad has a low sperm count and decided to adopt about 8 years into their marriage (it takes about 7 years for a first adoption from beginning to end). I was three months prematurely weighing only 1 pound 4 and 1/2 ounces; my birth mother was 25 and single, didn’t know she was pregnant until the night I was born, and smoked a pack a day and drank copious amounts of alcohol not knowing I was inside her. Meanwhile my adoptive parents waited 15 LONG years to become parents (they had trouble conceiving including the two failed IVF attempts), and finally after just about giving up hope they found out about me! I think about I could have ended up so much worse, with my prematurity and being exposed to those elements in utero; also when my biological mother went into labour, she had a prolapsed cord so I could also have been stillborn or had severe brain damage, and because of the cord prolapse had to have an emergency C-section; she left the hospital AMA (against medical advice) a few hours after I was born so I was placed in the care of Child Services after I was released from the hospital at 5 months until I could be adopted. I saw the movie in theatres on my birthday last year, the week after release (the 29th) and I was bawling during this song while sitting next to my mom.

Sarah Edwards makes me feel so sad to hear your story 😰 I too tried for a child for 10 years prior to having fertility treatments. The first treatment worked but I lost my child William Paul Christian, during pregnancy. I then had 3 failed attempts at fertility treatments before changing my gynaecologist to a lovely lady Margot. We discussed different IVF drugs and diabetes drugs to combat incolin resistance which was a huge problem with PCOS. To top it all I had low progesterone levels and had to be prescribed progesterone pessaries to ensure my uterus implanted any eggs. I was over the moon when it finally happened and the clinic confirmed my pregnancy. I was extra careful having given up smoking 2 years prior, and only drank health drinks, decaf tea and herbal tea and decaf coffee. Unfortunately Vanessi from Liar had her health drink showing signs of issues from manufacturers adding black magic potions into the milk and tea. My ex husband had been struggling with low sperm count due to lifestyle issues. My gynaecologist suggested this was the final attempt before having assisted egg implantation through IVF and donors. The IVF drugs given had a huge chance of hyper stimulation which means a high chance of lots of eggs and risk of multiple births. On going for scans, the radiographers could only see one baby. I asked at 12 weeks and 26 weeks if there were any chance of twins. They lied about it and said there was only one child. I nearly died giving birth. I was in labour for 12 hours and my life became at risk with the babies getting stuck in the canal and hyper contractions, severe hypertension, monitoring showing high level of distress. I was whisked into theatre at 2030 and my daughter was born at 2050 hrs. I was unaware of my surroundings, on large amount of drugs and on waking, my midwife Janet handed me a bouncing baby girl. I later found out that the midwife took away other children without my permission or knowledge. That is why I am now in counselling for PTSD and grieving for the living. I am so happy your mum Jude Eileen heard your beautiful music. I was definitely singing this song I have been waiting for you all. I cry every time I think about it 😭 Best Wishes Sara. Always here if you need a chat.

@@anonymouspeacefulperson6199 That's awful that the technician lied about there being more than one baby, and you only received one of them when they were born! I too have PCOS; my cycles are around 45 days (more if I'm stressed; I have generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder), and my right ovary is twice the size of my left one. If I get married someday and my husband and I are having trouble conceiving, we're just going to go straight to adoption; I'm not going to inject myself with hormones everyday and then get put under for the harvesting; and Clomid is too risky given the chances of a multiple pregnancy which has a greater chance of being high risk than a singleton. My performance is on my channel; just click on my name and it's there under my videos.
