I like how through the whole movie, they were all talking about how they wish Donna was there and how she would be so proud of Sophie for the rebuild/remodel/reopening of the hotel, but the scene where we actually see her is this, showing that, while yes, she was so proud of her for the hotel, this is what Donna had always wanted for her and wanted to be a part of with her: her family and being so happy and coming into her own.

right, I’m thinking “ummm…you’re going to need the baby at the baptismal font.” That said, every time I see this I tear up. “though I don’t possess you, with all my heart, God bless, my love my life” Having lost my mother in 2018 and having grown children, it expresses the depths of love across generations so beautifully. The original ABBA song was a break up song, this remake is so beautiful, both the text and the performances.

When I went to see this film at the cinema with my Mum and my sister we weren't quite aware that Donna had died and the day before we found out my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer (she is fine now) I love this film but probably wasn't the best film to watch at that time, when it came to this scene we all started to cry. My sister was adamant that Donna died in an accident not because she was terminally ill bless her

This movie is one of the few sequels that’s better than the original. This movie and the first one will forever be in my top 5 favorite movies. (1,000th comment btw.)

This makes me think of my mother who passed away 9 years ago. I wonder what kind of grandma she would have been to my 3 year old son...am sure she would have been the best. I miss her so much😪....my one and only❣
