Ok, so two errors. First: Lady Deathstrike, Colossus and Psylocke didn't just JOIN in the fight.... It was Morph. They're the one changing into each of those characters. TWO: As you MAY have noted in my first error note, Morph isn't he/him. HE'S NON-BINARY. IT'S THEY/THEM. Your breakdowns of these episodes have a severe LACK of correctness in regards to Morph. This should be addressed in your upcoming episode breakdown. Otherwise, I'd feel obligated to comment in everyone of your upcoming video breakdowns that you are VOLUNTARILY making this mistake because you might be against the plight of non-binary people. Kinda like how KZbin and X put a notice on videos with misinformation. I'd hate to feel obligated to do so, so I'm hoping this will be rectified and addressed in the next upcoming breakdown. I straight thought that he was about to break his promise, but his tear wasn't because he was breaking his promise to Xavier, he was breaking his promise to himself. Magneto's speech at the end of the episode was incredible! Honestly, his presence and intensity have been my favorite part of the Premier episodes. He just has this gravitas every time he's on screen. He's always been one of my favorite mutant characters and he's a villain that I can recognize has done horrible things but I still find myself sympathizing with and in a few places kind of agreeing with him, just not with his extremists methods. I'm really loving X-Men 97 so far! 🙌🌟🎆

Episode 2 was a wild ride, very emotional. They also manage to tie in or tease the start of 4 different iconic storylines at once. The Trial of Magneto, Storm losing her powers, the Age of Apocalypse, and Inferno. I'm so excited.

Re: Storm being scared of weather for the first time I don’t think she’s “scared” per se. I think she’s just startled by the thunderclap-which itself is startling to her because it’s the first time that’s happened to her. Before, she would have felt that storm approaching miles away and have known every nuance of its pattern.

Watched this with my son, and seeing him dance to the intro almost made me cry because that was me being excited about the X-Men when i was a kid. Those first to episodes were 🔥🔥🔥. It’s worth noting that Jean’s voice actor has not been the same. She was seemingly replaced by Jennifer Hale in episodes one and 2. But when the other Jean shows up at the end of ep. 2, I believe THAT’S the original voice actor. So it was a huge hint from the start.

I still think that the connection between Rogue and Magneto goes back to their time in the Savage Land in the comic where Rogue and Magneto had a short-lived relationship because he could prevent her from absorbing his powers. This was referenced several times in the comic and was the reason that they were married in Age of Apocalypse.

If this, one of the most well-known storylines in the comics, upsets you, you won’t like many of the other storylines they start to adapt. I think it’s fine. Jean, Scott and Logan have a love triangle. People shouldn’t be surprised that Rogue, Magneto and Gambit have one either. And let’s not even get into Mystique, Destiny, Sabretooth, etc. (Mystique is a ‘ho). The only reason people get annoyed at Rogue and Magneto after watching this are the people that got all their X-Men knowledge from the original cartoons and the movies.

A few theories: 1: I think the face in the cloud of dust in episode 1 is Professor X warning Jean, even though he does not know she's Madelyne. 2: Not only will we get Sinister, but I think we'll get Apocalypse in later seasons. The ties to Age of Apocalypse with Magneto and Rogue shown in this episode seem to suggest that. Perhaps Gambit becomes one of the Horseman if they go this direction causing the tension between the three to peak.

The helmet actually didn't gain its ability to block psychics until the live action films introduced it. As we see in the original cartoon, Xavier had no issues working Magneto over with his telepathy while he was wearing the helmet.
