Anyway, from what I heard, she was glad Genisys wasn't a big success, because if it had been, she might have been stuck doing sequels for a while. Maybe her heart was never in the role to begin with? Agreed on this version of John Connor, by the way. If he'd been badass, maybe I'd have taken his attempt at villainy more seriously.

the whole cast were bad including Clarke whom I actually rate as an actor but yes he was a terrible choice for John Connor. I also hated the way Arnold's Terminator has become increasingly comedic in T3 and Genishyt. If you feel the necessity for a Robot character to be the comic relief you obviously have no knowledge or respect for the first 2 movies

I know I'm replying to a 4 year old comment, but they literally did this joke way back in T3. It ended up being a deleted scene, which they pulled out at the last second for being too silly. The terminator is based on Sgt Candy - played by Arnold. Should be easy to find.

The two first Terminator movies, the ones made by Cameron the Great himself, are the only canonical movies (in my head canon). They tell a complete story in themselves. The other movies are just fan fiction by other directors and writers. Enjoy whatever good there is, and never mind the rest. It's all apocryphal anyway!

Exactly, the emphasis wasn't about time travel, it was about what it meant to be human and how knowledge of the impending Armageddon affected the human characters, Sarah found her Inner Strength, the Terminator found its humanity, and John discovered his destiny, and with that Hollywood should have just left well alone.

Okay one, I liked Terminator 3. ( I know: Gasp! Shocker, shocker) and two, Genesys wasn't that bad. Yeah the trailer gave away what could've been a cool twist and ultimately ruins the movie because of it, but it felt like a Terminator movie to me. Way more than the last one, what was it, Salvation. I actually really enjoyed this movie. I liked that it repeated a lot of things from the original or slightly altered them. I liked that everything can change now. The trailer with John Conner as a terminator was a huge spoiler, but most of the people I knew weren't excited to see it until that trailer came out, so they got us in the theater. I liked it.

+kbsmithy GAMING! that's a very cool analogy, they should do movies about john Connor rise as the leader of men against the machines, not putting him as a mythical figure or anything and "if he die humanity is lost" as honestly nobody knows who the heck is John Connor, maybe not even himself ether by having a head trauma that made him lost his past memories or because in his tme line he was never chase as a boy by a terminator. and to do things more interesting, never call him "john Connor" in the group of marines or rebel group he is in; Maybe use a military nick name to refer to him like "Baby, Easy, Max" toward all the movie, and make it like a survival horror movie but instead of zombies or a assasin murder the bad guys are all machines... and don't know maybe at the end of the movie we all hint the one that made possible the group survival and demise of the machines was in fact John Connor. oh wait! think that was a game i once see...
