I don't think there's enough people that understand how influential this literal 2 minutes of test footage was. I feel the same way. The timing and execution of a lot of the jokes just work better here, in my opinion. I just went and watched the movie version of this scene and there is so much more empty space with just action but no jokes. My favorite here is the use of the "brown pants" joke. It felt rushed and out of place in the movie.
