No wonder he was perfect for SOA...I knew his father was a gangster but had no idea that the whole family was into that lifestyle..I'm so happy that he found his way..

wow, I knew this guy was an incredible actor, but I never anticipated how grounded and real the guy would be in real life.... damn..... hands down, my favourite actor of all time.

brains, looks and a thirst for knowledge coupled with a frankness that is inspiring :) Glad I watched Pacific Rim which led me to this interview, giving me inspiration. Thanks Charilie Hunnam.

I find this very interesting. Charlie seems like a thinker - someone who enjoys figuring people out and how life works. One of the few actors, and I mean a handful, that seem like they'd be fun to know in real life.

Basically what he's saying is that if everyone in your enviornment tells you it's okay - it makes it okay. However - the comparison of kissing a man to murdering someone is unfortunate. I get was he's trying to say - but it was a poor example. I also think it's sad that he never felt the need to explore his own sexuality. But to each their own. Ten years ago I might have said some seemingly messed up shit like this. So glad I get to grow without my thoughts being recorded on the internet (yes, I realize the irony of this statement). I hope he's grown since this as well.

Don't get me wrong, I like Charlie, but he comes off as a bit of a cute lil blowhard here. He said in later interviews that it's not true that his father was a gangster, and that it's not true he never made an honest buck in his life and that he doesn't know why he said that LOL. Also his comparison about "environmentally sanctioned" kissing men on set filming a scene as an actor with a gangster committing murder was bonkers. How are none of you commenting on that.
@jillmayer9501 Жыл бұрын
Seriously - he comes off as a bit homophobic in many of his interviews. Kissing a man for your acting job isn't "sanctioned." What a bizarre way to look at it. You can take the job - or not. Your choice. What a weirdo lol. And to compare kissing a man to murdering someone? What? Hopefully he's learned how ridiculous that sounds sometime in the past ten years

It does mash up, A creative mind can have some dark rooms in it. Turn to one door and be an actor, working thru the darkness. Go to other door and live the life of crime and madness behind it. Shaamex 1

What the hell was he on about toward the end thereee lol I was fascinated by his candor and insight but he lost me. Why is he comparing murder under a peer pressure environment to..kissing a man on a tv show as an actor?? Your environment “sanctioned” what exactly when it came to you playing a gay character in tv?? And in interviews in the past few years, he said that his father was never involved in any illegal activities....just that he was a scrap metal merchant with a “gangster aura” about him. Yet here he says he never made an honest dollar in his life..pretty contradicting. He’s so enthusiastic here lmao so confused. Charlie boy you b going on TANGENTS! Were you high here or just over zealous?!
@Bjjbhcoa863 жыл бұрын
I don't think he is comparing kissing a man and murdering someone in terms of their ethical or moral value, he just compares them from the "something you never think that you would do," and it kinda makes sense, at least seems to make sense in his mind. Idk about his father's illegal activities tho lmao
