Chains tend to stay sharp on electrics because they lack the speed (but make up in tremendous torque) of petrols and don't generate the chain heat to cause blunting. I've cut 1.3 tonnes of up to 14" diameter logs with this, and its still as sharp as new.

Bought exactly same one in Screwfix, got a few files on Amazon as well to keep it sharpened. Great value for the price, almost went for the more expensive option but thought €54, if I get 2 year out of it I'll be happy, will probably get a lot more once I look after it, nice video pal, keep it up

My thoughts exactly, not a great loss at that price

I had one about 18 months ,light firewood work , stopped working on previous model ...electrical problem binned it ( note the cable should loop into the handle )

Mines still fully functional, maybe just unlucky.

This chainsaw exists under hundreds of different rebrands worldwide, identical shaped box top etc. Easy to get replacement chains and bars.

Where's your safety gear mate, at least a face visor...

Nah, I grew up when common sense was still around. I'm not saying this is how you should do it. Thanks for the comment though, all the best

He doesn't need any safety equipment, apparently he can skydive from a plane without a parachute using only "common sense" to break his fall.

Can you use it on hedge or isn't it ideal.
@KingstonHomeMaintenance Жыл бұрын
I used it on the hedge, it needed taking back a fair bit, so cut the thicker branches was easier either this.

@@KingstonHomeMaintenancethank you mate. I may get one, any kick back or safety issues as compared to a hedge trimmer? Thanks
@KingstonHomeMaintenance Жыл бұрын
@Mobile-pd1uc hasn't kicked back for me, as soon as you let go of trigger it stops instantly, suppose faceshield is up to you really, don't forget chainsaw oil too.

The chain should move a couple of mm, the electric motor will easily start

Thank you for your concern, you will be pleased to know I was brought up when common sense was a thing! I've also still got all of my fingers and no injuries. I am grateful that you worry about me and it melts my heart, maybe I should apply a content advisory for those of the faint heart.

@@KingstonHomeMaintenance I'm not concerned at all as it is you that will have to learn to play the piano one handed while your guide dog sings for you
