Bonnet Lock - Removal and Refitting - Peugeot 206

I had this issue on my yaris 2004 where the bonnet cable snapped. I managed to get it off by cutting through the grill! Saved me from potentially a big bill cos it snapped right when I needed it, to jump start the car

Why can it start stopping locking? It seems it can't be adjusted higher, but mine stopped locking, the lock itself works, I try it with a screwdriver, but it can't grab the bonnet and I don't understand why

Is the part on the bonnet adjustable or is that fixed solid ?. Is the bonnet closing down all the way ?
