@@twiltot Ravel would also be outstanding, but I have given up waiting and have been listening to other pianists now. Both Gryaznov and Noack have some fantastic transcriptions of music by Tchaikovsky, Borodin and Debussy.

Volodos is my favorite pianist today. I wish he would record more. There is a fantastic performance of this Fantasie performed by Lazar Berman as a young man in Russia. Not the best sound but outstanding.

I think this interpretation is terrific but Hamelin on Hyperion is still my go to performance. Check out another one by Igor Zhukov as well. It's only on an old LP also but was recently re-uploaded on new equipment here on YT. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpy4hH6Fnb6te9E). Zhukov is considered one of the masters of Scriabin performances. Not at the level of Volodos who really is a monster at the piano, but worth listening to Jorge Viladoms version. He is a notable and brilliant Mexican pianist hopefully to be considered among the top soon.
