SCRIBBLE CHALLENGE - random doodle becomes Beauty and the Beast...

WHAT WILL I DRAW?!?!?! The challenge is to take a random scribble and turn it into a drawing. This time I do 4x the scribbling! And eventually it became a somewhat familiar fairy tale. It's like Beauty and the Beast meets Picasso. What do you think?

Make a scribble and make it available per download, so everybody can try and send you the result. Then, a week later or so, publish your speedpainting along with some drawings, the community came up with. keep on with the amazing work.

Mary, I really look up to you and was wondering if you could expand and explain more about how to draw people and how to flesh characters out, because every time I try it just looks really awkward. I loved the video and your work is amazing. Idk how you managed to create a drawing out of four scribbles, and that makes you an awesome amazing person

Saduni Smith Absolutely! I wanna make a video that goes into that. Basically there's 2 things you can do. 1) Study anatomy and the human form (images of the muscle structure with or without skin (pics of dancers and gymnasts are great!)). 2 ) Now that you've studies pictures and references of humans, imagine each part of the body as a simple shape. heads are like ovals or circles. Torsos are like rectangles. Arms are like cylinders or stretched teardrops. These steps will help you to flesh out your drawings. It's gonna take thousands of terrible sketches to get it right, but that's just how it is. :)

Idk how old you are so idk if its okay to recomend this. But pin up shots of models (naked) is also very helpful. Nobodys born able to draw the monolisa. Artistic talent is the ability to want to keep practicing and improve and the live for art.

you should draw an aquarium in a starbucks frappacinno cup. like with whip cream on top with fish, octopus, and sea life like a fishbowl thing. or do one that is ice and penguins so penguins swimming in an iced drink and limes in it. that would be cute :3

This is definitely like my favorite thing in the whole world! I invented something kind of like it where I make random splats of Watercolor and then doodle over them with an ink pen. It's just a doodle game but I like that kind of art. It's like looking for shapes in clouds. Anyways I'm very happy someone on KZbin does something like it :)

I love how when you do these videos the piece always reminds me of a stain glass window. I'm not sure exactly why. It might just be me or it might be something to do with having to follow a line through multiple shapes like the lead in the window. Either way they are always awesome. Thanks for arting
