I first started playing Roblox around 2016, and my greatest Roblox memories are from 2017. It’s really cool to see how much changed, and to me, 5 years is such a long time. I remember when Bloxburg became a new game, when Prison Life was THE most popular game, and that time where tycoons dominated the page and there was a health bar for every player. There’s a lot more I’ve unknowingly omitted, and now when I log onto ROBLOX im surprised to see how emo the game has turned. I kinda miss 2016-2018 because aside from Roblox imo being less dramatic to me at that time, playing Roblox during summer vacation was such good memories. But then this games come out, have a good number of players, then die the next day cuz pet slavery simulating 2022 x released a new update which allows you to now buy rainbow mega poop egg with only spending 100k robux and you get 0.00003759% chance of getting a neon ultimate rainbow pooper if you also spend 1k dollars to buy nfts and plushies that the developer releases. The events can go burn in hell I hated every single event they did for the past years after 2020 . The 2019 events weren't bad but not good. The 2022 and 2021 ones where awful. The only good one was rb battles 2 which was really fun and also the alo event .

Roblox did used to be fun back then when I started in 2015. Ever since these years of continuation of playing the game, toxicity grew and I lost interest in the game but returned by only playing the RPG-based games but they were even more toxic with constant bullying and insulting with cringe kids/teenagers saying " mic up " 24/7 and just overall being annoying for no reason. I did troll, if course, but it was for the sole purpose of just entertaining and then I found myself just slowly becoming more toxic the more I played. After a while, I just gave up on the game and moved on while finding other interests I still enjoy to this day even though I still have this urge to return but in spite of that, it's fear of history repeating itself. Roblox made most of my childhood but now it's nothing but the majority of the community being terrible. For new and still engaged Roblox players, keep having fun and don't let the bad side of the platform make you want to quit because trust me, there will always be toxicity on the internet wherever you go and you can never escape from it unless you get off the internet or play offline games but there's hidden gems of good/positivity if you play with friends or meet the right people. I miss back when things were more primitive. When things were harder to make back then, new games were always treated with respect, because you know that people put time and effort into that stuff no matter what it was. The game only hit mainstream in like 2016, which was when things began to decline. I miss the days of roleplaying on Paper Mario RP bruhhhhhhhh. I still occasionally peep the site but only to occasionally play like Bad Business or because I'm still holding out hope that not every game on the site is godawful.

@@fairywww I mean, roblox games are made typically for children, so of course they will be quite bad and some of the better games are still made by teens and they're usually unbalanced like shooters with broken builds and overpowered weapons or just being janky over all. Believe it or not, but game dev is hard and difficult, even more so when you're creating a multiplayer game where you have to factor in how the players can exploit features. Like in that one horror game where if you tap the sprint button each 1 second you virtually get infinite stamina and run just as quick if not quicker than full hold sprint. Roblox games are awful, I have yet to find a good roblox game. As of how roblox was earlier, I don't know. So as an outsider, I can kinda tell that everyone praising old roblox is looking at it through rose tinted nostalgia glasses since you were a child when playing these games. I know how it feels- I remember playing this SICK difficult game on some flash game website but when I replayed it when I learned flash was about to die, I was literally sitting there bored through the entire experience and played it only to check out a box in my mind that I have to complete this game for old times sake
