Great content lads. just some of my thoughts on the weekend. I'll do the NA teams first then the APAC teams: Dallas: I think Dallas looked better than expected however I feel once people figure them out they will suffer. Sparkles hero pool does not look great and teams will expose that. The support line also did not impress me. That being said Fearless really impressed me, with consistent performances like this weekend Fearless may be a MVP candidate Atlanta: in the Rush Mirror I think this team could be easily a top 5 team. Their rush looked really good against both Florida and Toronto. Unfortunately against double bubble which is meant to counter rush the team didn't look assertive or decisive enough. Give it sometime and I think Atlanta will be fine. Glads: Supposedly Muze suffered from some nerves however I don't think that was the issue. Against the Shock Nero carried and his Mei was so good. I think Glads will thrive in mirror match ups however they really struggled against the strange comps Shock and Dallas played. Once the meta settles down I think Glads will be a top team. Houston: Happy played so well however like any team once they get figured out I do think they will come back down. I think the tank line often lacked a lot of decisiveness that they did not get punished for. I think Houston will be better than where most people ranked them but I doubt they will be top 6 NA by the end of the year. Also Huston support line was really good Crimzo specifically looked amazing and with consistent performances may start to get more attention/recognition. Shock: Nero's Mei might be the best in the league. I think Nero was the big difference between Glads vs Shock. I think under Crusty this man will be a god. Also I was not as impressed with Violet McCree as everyone else was. I think it's decent but he has a double pocket on him and the tank line creating a world of space for him. On Gibraltar against Glads is best example of this when Birdring was often getting double (if not more) dove/focused by Smurf and a DPS player while Glads pressured Violet maybe once or twice the entire game. My theory in why Violet is on the McCree is Twilight either wanted more playtime and threatened to leave or his more passive team oriented playstyle is more effect for the comp. However from what it sounds like Violet has got quite the ego on him and is difficult to work with so probably demands to be played so Crusty throws him on Hitscan duties which is probably the least impactful role in this meta. I think Glister, Striker, Ta1yo and probably Nero can all play hitscan better. I also think it may be another meme strat (Super Genji-esque) to hide what Shock has prepared for Hawaii/May Melee tournament. Mayhem: To be honest I missed most of their games just due to life however from what I saw Gangnamjim impressed me a lot and I rated him as probably the 5th best Flex support line the league. His Ana and Bap both looked incredible. Oge and Slime also looked really good and Slime specifically may go down as one of the signings of the season. Titians: Shredlocks terrible rein actually looked decent. Still probably one of the weakest in the league but notable improvements. I never saw them as terrible as most people thought so they are currently at the level I expected. I find the team has a weird mix where half the team is better in Rush (FRD, Roolf, Fire) while the other half (Shredlock, Dalton and Teru) are better at double bubble. Unfortunately it sounds like the supportline is simply to weak for double bubble forcing them into rush. Defiant: Sado looked incredible both games. Deserved player of the match against Atlanta IMO. His Ball was very lackluster though so maybe in the future we will see Beast take control maps as Beast is also super flexible (so can play the rein or Winston) while playing Ball. Control requires less communication and is more about ult cycles and fragging so its a possibility. That being said I do think the hype around a lot of our players will come down. Michelle made a lot of mistakes in both series that went unpunished and I think Heesu won't be able to maintain this level all season. I also think our double bubble will be our stronger comp hands down. Na1st on the Mei looked okay however his Echo reminded me of Shockwaves Echo from last year. It was probably the best Echo performance of the weekend. Plus the backline looked a lot better on the ana brig rather than Rush. If double bubble is the meta Defiant could be a top 4 team if rush is the dominant meta I expect us to fall considerably. Philly: Mano and Hotba looked like free men off of NYXL. I think under NineK they appreciate his coaching and it shows. The backline looked great, Alarm looks amazing and Tobi is consistent. The only glaring issue I noticed with Fusion is Carpe's Widow. While it wasn't played that much his widow looked surprisingly weak and is probably why the team brought in Shockwave. Chengdu: I said Chengdu would probably be the 3rd best team in APAC as well Rui would genuinely be considered for coach of the year. I feel very smart right now. Both Monk and Elsa really impressed as I thought off-tank and flex support were going to be the weaknesses. The DPS line also looked amazing. Leave looking like that MVP candidate player that he was hyped to be. I was also surprised to see Jinmu as much as we did. I solely expected him to be the 4th DPS but he proved me wrong. He played really well and did less of his "all aim no brain" function he usual does. Looks like he might be a reborn player Dragons: Saying this now, Fate will be an upgrade on Fearless. They lost to Chengdu but last year same thing happened. I think by the time teams get to Hawaii Dragons will be back to their dominant ways. Also hope Diem gets more playtime this year. Charge: oh boy. This team looked bad. I have always thought they were a middling team that got slept on for being boring however this weekend looked bad for them. Even star player Crong looked lost. Not sure what the issue was however something I noticed were the DPS looked outclassed badly, Rio went from being invisible to hard feeding and neat the end you could tell the supportline looked frustrated and tried carrying the team themselves. I thought both Mandu and Kariv played okay however defiantly got way to aggressive/tried to hard to make plays in an attempt to carry the team. I expect them to improve with time but they may be a bottom feeder of APAC for awhile Seoul: I don't expect this team to be that good and kinda middle APAC. That being said Gesture looks strong again and Profit did Profit things. I think they still have one of the weakest backlines in the league and Toyou is over hyped but lets wait and see. Valiant: Not as horrible as I expected. Krystal was the star of the show and Molanran as looked decent as well especially on the Tracer. Wya also played decently. Still probably the worst team in the league but I hope Krystal and Wya specifically get a chance after this season.

I just have to ask what more do want people from sp9k1e? They called him a genji, doom two trick. He rolled out and played tracer at the level of someone like danteh and kevster. What more can the man do before he gets rid of this weird stigma that he isn't flexible?

@@ethanallen9973 his Tracer was below average to say it was at the same level as Danteh or Kevater is something I strongly disagree with. Also Sparkle hasn't impressed me on anything other than his Genji and Doom (His Pharah also good but I doubt we see it). He has one tournament which was "pocket the Genji" that he played amazing in then really didn't do much the rest of the year. He was genuinely bad in last years playoffs and is one of the main reasons Paris had such a poor playoff run.

@@mackmcfarland7839 definitely not his best hero but remeber he is flex dps, the fact that he can plat at an owl level with tracer is impressive

I would buy: LA Glads I think they will bounce back too much talent on that team and I think alot of people are over reacting on their 0-2 start and I would sell Houston Outlaws I think that although their start was impressive I think it was helped by the fact that happy could play alot of his comfort picks and Idk if that will be the case all season. Not to mention that I feel like teams will figure out how to play against the outlaws and so they will then fall back into a middle of the pack team.

Also could also sell Hunters stocks as they are insanely high rn and Idk if they will be able to keep it up

I agree about your LAG take! it depends how much people are overreacting ! I think they will be a top 5 team. But I saw potential issues with this team going into the year so I am not ready to buy back into them being top 2/3 ! Outlaws will not finish number 1 but again of that second tier (Toronto,Boston,ATL,Florida, ect) I could see them being the best so we will see! I said the tank line was underrated going into the year and if the support line can keep it up, and nothing implodes I do think they will be good!

Can someone please explain the scrimbucks stock exchange for the uninitiated
@ethanallen99733 жыл бұрын
Scrimbucks are just about how good teams are in scrims leading up to the beginning of the season. The exchange are people tiers list and how hyped a team is before the season starts. The scrimbucks said teams like glads and Atlanta are absolutely destroying everyone. While a team like dallas was doing very poorly.
