I don’t know if you are aware but I’m the guy that originated the scroll pinstriping technique, glad you like the versatility of this brush.

You make it look easy. Steve Kafka does too. I’ve got some of his brushes and find them to be comfortable regardless of how you hold them.

Kafka pinstriping brushes work great. I switched from Macks to Kafkas and never looked back. So much more control of my lines and more importantly, the thickness or thinness of my scroll work where it needs it. My confidence went up and so has the looks of the finished product. I'm happier with my work now and so are my customers.

If you're still doing it, how would you explain/describe the difference between the brushes? I've got a few, but don't know the brand (or where they are right now) and wouldv like to know, what to look for, if I don't feel, they do the job well enough.

This is supposed to look as though it’s alive and living..thanks for using my equipment. FYI the brush that your using is the original scroll brush, copied over forty timed with other artists names on the handles..as thought it was their origination, where do they come up with the balls to do this?

I use the Kafka brushes. they're are designed to be used on the tips only. if you try to drag them like a mack the results are terrible. think of it more as a sharpie and when you want thicker lines from the same brush don't really angle it down to apply pressure, push more to the tip directly... if that makes sense.

It does.

steve I love doing this form of art. I've always been an artist and wanted to familiarize myself in the automotive paints industry back in 2005. I think I may have one other video on scroll pinstriping and it's just hard to find someone to video record me from my phone. looking into a GO-PRO

Did you trim that brush? I just purchased a Kafka #3 and I can't get a point or thin on that # 3 unless I hold the brush almost vertical?? The #1 works bad ass and can pull fat or thin lines all day long!! Cool video brotha!
@stevekafka3 жыл бұрын
Smokin with Chris You don’t ever have to trim my scrolling brushes make sure you get the sizing out of the brush that makes it stiff for transport use hardware store lacquer thinner slash it around rub it between your index finger and thumb until the hair becomes soft and stay up on the tip of the brush and you’ll be able to achieve all of the same lines
