I love it! It’s fascinating how it all comes together. I still haven’t figured out how to know what to cut and what color, etc. but I’d love to see you do roses or a flower of some kind that’s obviously not too colorful, only so many species with color but I’d love to see what you’d pick and the design, etc. btw lignum vite isn’t the only green wood, poplar can have purples and greens, I build a cheeseboard where the bottom border pattern I used purple poplar (it’s was vibrant purple too) that had marbling in the end grain… I but finish on it or oil and it became this deep, dark green! Stunning and totally unexpected

I'll try to do a few tips and tricks videos on those topics. Poplar is a sirens call of a wood. It has amazing colors. I've also had those colors turn brown over time. My picture of Poison Ivy (flowers too!) had a green poplar background and it's now a brown background. I didn't film it unfortunately. I'm always up for more poplar tests though.

Ha! I like your way of thinking. I purposefully passed. Unfortunately, I have had poor luck with their spray adhesive. I literally threw away a half used bottle yesterday. But it would have been hilarious to constantly flash to it!

@NewtonMakesArt10 ай бұрын
I can place a template directly to the workpiece but then I'll have a sticky residue to remove. The film prevents this.
