I live in New Brunswick, and I looked at homes in Fredericton the other day and fully cried at the prices. Homes have tripled in price (literally) since the pandemic.

I look at other houses because the pictures of the houses looked clutter- free 😂. I only realised why I liked them recently. I love my home it has colour and character but it is small x

Its like being obsessed with house shows on TV, or say yes to the dress shows…… You are not feeding your imagination, you are feeding your envy… I am an engineer by passion and training and i will look at an interesting (often absurdly) designed home and wonder at the thought process of designing and building it…. I will often imagine the process of converting a structure into a personal home (my favorite was one converted from a former tire store , make me wonder if Goergie Cooper lives there) but i cannot stand watching shows of homes that are way outside my budget…. Because it either makes you jealous of what they have, or disdainful of what they have wasted

We rent, so we dream of someday being able to afford a house (got the winning lotto numbers?) I check my neighborhood every now and then. Prices are insane (nothing close to 2 million, try 4 or 5), but every so often something will sell or at least go off market. Actually just saw one pop back on after a year (it’s very distinctive) and all the photos are different inside… so looks like the new owner had to hit eject.

Anything you do is relative to your circumstances. With a 2million dollar house you’d still find areas you’re not happy with. I think people mistake being content with being bored.

I’m looking for a house but I stick to my budget range or maybe a little over. I wouldn’t want a really expensive gigantic house.
