My heart would EXPLODE with love if someone did a flash mob of this. It’s adorable how Scrooge is singing along not knowing it’s his death they’re celebrating. How adorable & hilarious.

This is now one of my favourite films and a tradition in our family to watch it over Christmas!! I'll always remember Anton as Mr.Calendar in 'May to December' on TV as that's where I first saw him and couldn't believe it when my sister told me it was him in Scrooge!!

In the 1980's a very hateful school secretary suddenly quit, and I had to hide my delight & gratitude, so I left the lounge where this news was delivered to us all, and went to a tiny bathroom nearby, and let loose with this song at the top of my lungs!! "Thank You very much..."

On behalf of all the people who have assembled here I would merely like to mention, if I may That our unanimous attitude Is one of lasting gratitude For what our friend has done for us today And therefore I would simply like to say : Thank you very much Thank you very much That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me I may sound double Dutch But my delight is such I feel as if a losing war's been won for me And if I had a flag, I'd hang me flag out To let us all the final victory touch But since I left me flag at home I simply have to say : Thank you very, very, very much Thank you very, very, very much Thank you very much Thank you very much That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me It sounds a bit bizarre The things the way they are I feel as if another life's begun for me And if I had a canon I would fire it To let us all see the grace of touch But since I left me canon at home I simply have to say : Thank you very, very, very much Thank you very, very, very much For he's a jolly good fellow For he's a jolly good fellow For he's a jolly good fellow And so say all of us Thank you very much Thank you very much That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me It isn't every day Good fortune comes me way I never thought the future would be fun for me And if I had a bugle I would blow it To add a sort o' how's your father's touch But since I left me bugle at home I simply have to say : Thank you very, very, very much Thank you very, very, very much (No, no, dear friends, it is I who should thank you) Thank you very much Thank you very much That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me The future looks alright In fact it looks so bright I feel as if they probably sing this song for me And if I had a drum, I'd have to bang it To add a sort o' rumpty tumpty touch But since I left me drummer at home I simply have to say : Thank you very, very, very much Thank you very, very, very much

I actually want this song played at my funeral. (In the future, I mean; I'm not suicidal or anything.) I'm okay with my enemies celebrating that I'm finally at peace. So thank me for my life or thank me for my death; what's it to me? Bit of a change from all the sad, sentimental songs, right? My surviving family will appreciate one last reference to musical theater and my sense of humor.

One is a small stall business that is just trying to keep up with Scrooge and still have time to meet his own necessities... The other would've recovered easily from Scrooge's loans, judging by the size of his stock. I think Tom Jenkins works better as a Soup Merchant, down on his luck, understandable.

this is a scene you should show anyone who doesn't like musicals or think they are too light and childish...they are literally thanking him for finally dying and are celebrating as his wretched corpse is hauled away, frankly i'm surprised they bother taking his corpse to an actual graveplot (other than to know where they can ignore him or deface) and didn't throw him in the river or a landfill i do plan to have this played at my funeral and hope everyone that attends will hear this and be glad to be rid of me, cause i certainly will be glad to be rid of them.

President Trump is a moderate businesses Democrat; I'm baffled why he gets contempt from everyone! I guess most Americans want either fervent Progressives or ardent Conservatives. It's poignant to me that we as people wish are political opponents to die excruciatingly 😴 Of course now they're attempting to starve Americans out of jobs. How ironic how fascists bureaucrats have become since Covid.
