Good to know about the hobos off track at the start - I have taken my dog walking there on the dirt tracks many times, glad for the heads up to avoid it now.

What a great ride! My wife and I stumbled across that little cemetery in Kingston some years ago. It was fascinating. Lots of local history and stories right there.

That’s why I started my cemetery channel. I enjoy visiting them. I’ll have to go to the one you went to one day when I’m down that area.

A cemetery channel... very cool! Yeah, I love pioneer cemeteries... this one is only tiny but historically significant for the area.

Yes, Cemetories are very interesting, and many are supprisingly nice places to explore. Been exploring them a bit lately while researching family history! Some I have explored late at night

@@jelbuilderfilms no, but when the sprinklers at Chinchilla lawn cemetory splashed on a metal sign it freaked me out a bit, and a tall weed at the One Mile at Gympie was staying in the wind at the limit of my torchlight it did the same thing!

Nice video man! I live in Regents Park. It's a nice bike trail. I didn't know it goes all the way to greenbank, now I can extend my rides. You should do karawatha forest, especially the hidden mtb trails. Loved the vid!

Cheers for the kudos. I've already done a ton of Karawatha Videos - including the hidden forbidden ones - but it might be time to revisit and do up some fresh vids. :)

I was riding out there on Labour day doing a loop from home ( Cornubia) to Karawatha, Berrinba wetlands, across to Waterford, Eden's Landing, Red Bridge then home. All on E bike of course! I'm familiar with all of these areas except for the Boronia bushland section which I might visit today if the rain passes early enough. Thanks for another great Scrubby video!

Cheers for the kudos.... this bike is a Merida E160 8000 2021 model. It's a tank and has served me well the last 3 years, but I feel it requires way too much maintenance - all of which I do myself. I can't say wholeheartedly that I recommend it, as it does make a creaking sound a lot when under load that I (and the bike shop) have been unable to fix - and the higher cassette gears need replacing way too much for my liking. I'll be getting rid of this one soon and looking to upgrade to a newer ebike.... but not sure what yet. However, I have a manual 2020 Cube Stereo 120 Dual Suspension that I've used for loads of riding, and I can't fault it.... rides great and has required minimal maintenance.

You said at the beginning of the trail that you plotted it out before your ride. Was that on Google Maps? Then, how do you transfer it to your Garmin? I have a Garmin SQ, which should do the same thing, I think. I've done some of that ride as part of a loop with a riding group. I must do that one soon.

I'll do up some kind of a tutorial video on this soon.... but basically: 1. I use an app called MAPMAGIC.APP which is free, and brilliant for exporting your route to your watch. 2. I use one of their cycling maps (all free) which shows all the cycling routes anywhere in the world. 3. I plot out a route easily, and using the cycle map its easy to identify for example, this EAST WEST CYCLING ROUTE. Once I plotted out my course, it saves onto the MapMagic.App server automatically. 4. I select an option to Export the course to Garmin Connect. 5. Once in Garmin Connect, all I need to do is SYNC my watch to Garmin Connect which transfers the course to my Garmin watch. 6. On my watch, I select an activity called NAVIGATE, and then locate my course, and then select start. 7. The watch then shows me exactly where I need to ride to stay on course, and at the same time is tracking the GPX of my ride, and saves it all at the end. 8. At the end, my watch auto uploads my GPX to Strava for my personal stats, sharing, and records. You can use other apps instead of MapMagic.App to create routes, but transferring it to the Garmin watch requires a few other convoluted steps. I should say that my watch is a Garmin Fenix 5X, I'm not sure if the above steps work on other types of Garmin watches.... but if your watch can do some form of tracking or navigating, I'm sure it should work. Hope that kind of helps 👍👍

Thanks. I'll definitely look into that map magic. At the moment, all I use is Strava, which only logs rides.

Love watching your videos and have been for quite a while. Your total disregard for the road rules when riding your bike does not set a very good example for others though.

Yeah, unfortunately I agree, I don't set a very good example for road rules when on a bike. I'm so used to riding fast, taking shortcuts, jumping stuff, and simply riding irregular terrain. Sorry about that, but thanks heaps for watching though👍👍
