Got shocks and springs, both sway bars from a 08, C6 Zo6....After I have them painted Will be installing them on my C5....Thanks for the help, dosent look bad...John..........

Keep in mind that the shocks and sway bars from a C6 can be used on a C5, but to my knowledge, the leaf springs are different. The z06 springs I installed were from a C5, fyi.

I know you weren't happy with the headers and xpipe, but she was looking pretty under there. Looking forward to seeing it on the ground.

Ugh, yes those headers were very frustrating. The x-pipe section actually worked out pretty well after some adjustments. And you're right, those exhaust pipes do look sexy, haha.

I just can't pull the trigger on 1000 bucks for ARH. So many good posts on the forums with positive results but then I see a few with the opposite opinion. Anyway, enjoy your content.

I know the feeling. I read a ton about them on the Corvette Forum. Mixed reviews but most complaints seemed to be with the early generations, so I really had hoped the 3rd gen would be better. My best guess is that they don't have good quality control during manufacturing. Some turn out good, some have variances that cause fitment issues.

Hi, I am trying to replace all the bushings and ball joints. For the rear I think I should remove the axle bolt, right? Also, did you install an oil cooler, and do you have a video on it? This is very helpful content. Thank you!

Thanks for making the video.

Howdy. Thanks for the video. My question is this: Is there supposed to be a gap between the outer edges of the leaf spring and the control arm??
@ScrufsGarage5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the control arm is actually pressing against the adjuster bolt which has a pad on it. So there will be a little gap between the control arm and the spring itself.

@@ScrufsGarage thanks so much. After installing my new leaf spring because my old one snapped I was super nervous about the positioning there. I really appreciate your response! 🤘

Hey how come when I jack my car all the way up the actual lead bar isn't touching the control arm on either side. There's a good 2 inch gap from the leaf bar to the control arm (at least thats what it appear to me it is). I have a picture of it but idk how to post it on here. Can you help? Its a 2004 zo6

I understand you can swap the c6 Z06 into the c5 base model... is that what you did? Am I correct that it is possible?
@ScrufsGarage5 жыл бұрын
You can use sway bars and shocks from the C6 platform, but not the leaf springs. I used C5 Z06 leaf springs, Doug Rippie valved Bilstein shocks, and C6Z51 sway bars.

Anyone need a 2004 Z06 rear leaf spring??

is that for a C6 Z06?.....or a C5?............John........
