Looks like when they made this feller they forgot to put in the quit!!

Annie Oakley used to do that sort of shot with a mirror to aim with, but Scruggs has the mirror on his right side, so he wouldn't be able to see his sights, or even his pistol, in the mirror.

This had to be a tough shot not using the sights at that distance plus the mirror. Great thumbnail and back grounds too!😃👍

Got to say, one of your more dangerous stunts i think, but you handled it with charm, class, and skill.

Nice shot! Not sure I could even line all that up backwards let alone pull the trigger evenly in that position. Cool to see it actually done with a pistol. Makes Annie Oakley’s rifle over the shoulder shot look a bit tame. 👍

In the movie he was probably shooting 1/4 load blanks if he actually fired anything in that scene, you get less gas out the cylinder gap with blanks because there is no bullet blocking the barrel but I still wouldn’t hold it that close to my head. The scene in the remake of True grit where lucky Ned fires his pistol to signal Rooster always makes me nervous he shoots that right next to his face in that.

Bill Nye, language!! 😂

Now I am scientifically curious at how far from the gap the gas is capable of damaging..

A most impressive shooting stunt!👏👍 20 paces works out to 50 feet. Roughly 16.3 yards. Awkward positioning combined with the weapon's positioning, upside down and mirror reversing sighting? Yeah, that's not exactly easy by any stretch of the imagination. Bravo!👏 Ŕemember when you researched words and phrases and presented them in a video? I'd enjoy that some more. And no risk of burning the side of your noggin! Here's a starter. "Jumping Gee Hoss-a-phats". What is a "Gee Hoss-a-phat", and why is it Jumping? Inquiring minds want to know. 😉

Thank you very much, Wade! It’s the oddest feeling when you’re trying to adjust your sights and you move the opposite way you think you’re moving! As for the researching phrases video, I can certainly do the that!

A little thing but Buster had gun on right shoulder and looked over left shoulder with mirror. Still, your ability is impressive.

Thank you. It’s tough to do that because you’re firing blindly. Don’t need to make it anymore dangerous than it already was.

@SaintAndrewTV I would think almost impossible without tons of practice (except for Hollywood) and who would want to practice such an impractical shot.

The Buster Scruggs scenes are the highlight of that movie. And no, hardly any of it is anything but pure Hollywood nonsense.
