More's choreo was done by Kinja (although the woman that danced for Eve in Pop/Stars danced with them again for Seraphine). The video was released earlier this week in both just the dance versions and a longer one where they go over a tutorial on how to do the chorus' choreo.

Bailey Sok was one of the dancers in K/DA's official choreo video for Popstars and I believe she was also the one who choreographed the dance. What's mind-blowing is that she was around 14 or 15 when that video came out and she's still only 16 as of the DGD concept video.

@@cdelio8716 So many factors contributed in people seeing the negatives about Kai'Sa's Concept Video 1. People don't understand the meaning of concept video to a music video. 2. People are spoiled by League's godlike animations and expected another one with Kai'Sa's 3. Lesser presence of Kai'Sa in the video, when, again, the video is a concept video. It doesn't matter when the artist is there in the video in actual when the purpose of a concept video is to portray the vision and feelings the artist has for the song. 4. Kai'Sa being underappreciated by League and fans of her expected something like Eve's video to gain more attention. And your explanation about marketing. Even I wanted Kai'Sa's video to be her dancing, but this video still spoke and done its job to interpret Kai'Sa's vision about Drum Go Dum. Problem is, many people especially the League Community isn't used to this yet and expected to be pleased with every video and I can understand that from their perspective.

People have really (unrealistically) high expectations for what is basically a passion project. They're already putting in more effort than major record labels do for hit artist, especially by releasing videos for EVERY song on an EP, and yet we complain that they aren't all animated masterpieces. I'm sure they wanted to do an animated dance video, but deadline restraints caused it to not be possible in the time they had (especially to the level riot usually produces). I'd much rather something like this than a half-assed animated video that's just a bunch of filler shots instead of the dancing.

I completely understand and respect their decision to not animate this song. With that being said, Kai'sa is my favorite character and DGD is my favorite song on the ep. So all the hype that was delivered to me by them making a stunning music video for Villain just made this one kinda fall flat for me. I was just disappointed that I didn't get to see my favorite character star in her song. I still support and love Riot, Lol, and K/da. I am just underwhelmed by this one particular video.

@@keonewestfall5395 I definitely agree with that, it is 100% missed potential. Just sad seeing everyone tear it apart because it isn't what they wanted, rather than trying to enjoy it. Again, I think it would have been way worse if they had released something lower quality just for the sake of it being animated. @Bartek You're mostly right, it's just a very reductive way of looking at it. The reason the "marketing" ends up being more unique and creative is because they are passion projects to begin with, and that translates to the end result. It's a smart business decision by riot to promote and embrace it, because it does create effective marketing, but passion projects & product/marketing are not mutually exclusive ideas.

In the end, it was a result of Riot not having enough time/resources to make a quality animation.
