At 13:52 when the fly buzzes into Catherine O'Hara's face, it jogged my memory. I read about a studio in Ottawa where the '60s gothic soap opera STRANGE PARADISE was filmed. That place was afflicted with flies that often appeared on-camera--they had a special affinity for landing on the actors' faces. Was SCTV shot at the same place, and they never fixed that damn fly problem?

It would be fine. The internet nut jobs don't represent every day people. This is very intelligent comedy and there is always a purpose for what it does. It isn't mean spirited and people who are intelligent will understand it. Don't confuse the fringe extremes with everyday people.

I wonder why in the opening credits, Harold Ramis is separated from the others. He seems to have at least as much screen time as everyone else.

It is because this is a repackaged version for syndication.

The poses that the stars are from the Season 4 cycle 3 opening. Harold Ramis left in the beginning of Season 2, so he did not get a blue background pose, therefore they have to use a clip to feature his credit. The same goes for Robin Duke and Tony Rosato. They simply use his Season 1 intro clip to introduce him.

SCTV never gets old! Unfortunately I doubt the Politically Correct World we currently live in would have Cancelled them because of many of the topics they used in their skits! Like this episode. Thank heavens the Cancel Culture hasn't seen SCTV! Great Good Friday & Passover day watching on April 15, 2022! Bwahahah!! Thanks again for sharing these SCTV shows. They make me remember that once upon a time the World had a sense of Humour and there was Laughter without fear of censorship and being cancelled. Rest in Peace to all our GR8 comedians who've died that were on this show. Also to all those GR8 comedians who have recently passed that were victimize by the Politically Correct Cancel Culture. Like Gilbert Gottfried was and Norm McDonald being taken off WEEKEND UPDATE on SNL because of his comedic attention to OJ Simpson the Top Cats couldn't handle the truth and they even blacklisted Norms movie. As our idiot Canadian leader JT is so fond of saying in these situations "It's Unacceptable Behavior by the FRINGE Minority!" Bwahahah! 💞✌🇨🇦🤣
