The "I don'teat gluten" reminded me about a reply I saw a short while ago on a comment about lactose intolerance and the original commenter used a few dairy products (milk, cheeses, yoghurt and such)and the reply was how "from those listed only milk contained lactose" and when called out doubling down with "I am lactose intolerant and eat cheeses and yoghurt every day" ... nah mate.. you are not lactose intolerant.
@iniudan24 күн бұрын
Lactose intolerance is not an allergy, most lactose intolerant are fine with trace amount, thus are usually fine with fermented milk product (which yogurt and aged hard cheese are), as the lactose has mostly all been eaten by bacteria or yeast and transformed into something else.
@haley74624 күн бұрын
I eat cheeses all the time but if I drink milk that isn’t lactose-free you bet I’ll be shitting out everything I just ate within an hour. Why do I know that? Because sometimes I can still smell or see the food I just consumed with my milk in the faecal matter. Hope that helps
@mavadelo24 күн бұрын
You do know the keywords in my comment were "only milk contained lactose" right? I know certain cheeses and yoghurts have low lactose and that an intolerance and allergy are not the same thing (which might be the reason I never even mentioned "allergy" to begin with). But if someone is indeed lactose intollerant they tend to stay away from blanket statements. (same for gluten) people pretending to have intollerances create problems for people that are actually intollerant to lactose or gluten. I am literally the only one in my family that is not lactose intollerant, when I married I married someone that was also lactose intollerant. I have dealt with it for over almost 60 years. "hope that helps"
