Balsamic vinegar on ice cream is a thing in Italy, I've had it before and it's actually really good because the salty sweetness of the vinegar blends really well with the creamy freshness of the vanilla.
@hottuna2006
@hottuna2006 16 күн бұрын
They use real balsamic vinegar that's been aged in barrels to impart complexity and sweetness from evaporation which makes its consistency somewhat syrupy. Typical supermarket balsamic is just regular vinegar with a bit of grape must added along with some artificial coloring and sugar. Topping ice cream with that is just going to make it taste disgusting as the "fake" balsamic.

Also in conjunction with Soy sauce and egg because people also add sweet soy sauce to it Egg with peanut butter is still weird though

Sometimes we like to try both vegan and non vegan in one, lol 0:49 yeah totally normal, it's common in many countries to eat different kinds of pasta and macaronis plain with powdered sugar. Still, milk/plant milk the best. 3:08 definitely unusual for regular scrambled eggs eaters but i don't see anything wrong with that. It's not a uncommon mix, soy sauce and eggs can be commonly found together for example in asian ramen soups, so scrambled with a bit of soy sauce totally legit. 3:36 no... blasthemy. They use Calabrian chilly powder in Italy rather than cyanine pepper but its mixed into the coffee grounds and then extracted. You can also use licorice root for a similar taste and experience to stevia, rose petals for more of a floral taste, dried mint for well mint (this ones my favorite), and many other ones so long as they pair with coffee or chocolate or are like licorice in that they don't change the flavor but just add a sweetness to the drink as the flavor people associate with licorice is actually just anise seed which can also be used in the coffee.

I’ve been doing this since a kid in the 70s Chunky peanut butter toast with a THIN coating of brown, not yellow, mustard. Before you say “ew!”, everyone I’ve introduced this to loves it.

I usually drink my coffee with, milk, sugar and some cinnamon. Others go to Starbucks for that. But Ketchup on sushi? Thats a no go right there. Its always wasabi remoulade for me.

Get a NOS energy drink, add some Tapatio hot sauce to it. Mix it and drink. The mango flavors in the NOS pair well with the hot sauce. Gives your drink a little kick, while your drink gives you a little kick. I had a habanero mango energy drink in California that inspired this. A little Tapatio is also good mixed into some passion orange guava juice. The balsamic... the thing about balsamic vinegar on vanilla ice cream is that they both need to be good... aged balsamic is has a very syrupy viscosity and a bit of sweetness with lighter acidity than younger, more common balsamic. It works well on some high quality, high fat vanilla ice cream. It'll work on more basic vanilla ice cream, but if you're going to spend that much on some aged balsamic, why would you want to waste it on mediocre ice cream? Just fork up the few extra dollars on something nicer and enjoy the experience. Also, ketchup, much like hot sauce, can be put on about ANYTHING... and it will probably work. But people should be reminded that doesn't mean that it SHOULD be put on everything. Act accordingly.

I can absolutely recommend the noodles with sugar or anything that's sweet. 😊 Noodles itself are very neutral. Just like toast goes well with savory or sweet.

Yesterday I had a bacon cheeseburger. Havarti, two strips of bacon, lettuce tomato, onions, the burger patty...grape jelly on the bottom bun, peanut butter on the top bun. It was actually good.

the sushi with ketchup and omelette with soy sauce make so much sense to me, especially when you see them together like that. Ketchup and soy sauce are somewhat interchangeable, at least in this case

yeah, tomatoes and soy have the purpose of umami and the sauces add some vinegar salt and sweetness to it, I can definitely see how they're pretty interchangeable even if ketchup on sushi looks cursed as hell

I think probably my oddest food combos I enjoy are toast with Miracle Whip and grated parmigiana (a result of being a kid who wanted toast but was out of butter so looked for other things to put on it), and vanilla ice cream with anis and celery seeds (again the creation of a kid bored with plain ice cream and free access to the spice rack). When I was around 10, I used to love to make ketchup and honey sandwiches on toasted white bread. The topper was to take two pimento-stuffed olives on toothpicks and squeeze out some ketchup lines to make a smiley face on top....

First one totally legit i actually like scrambled eggs with more white than yolks i sometimes make scrambled with 4 eggs but throw out 2 yolks beforehand and whisk mainly the white and at the end scramble the 2 yolks so it's mainly white but with semi-raw liquid yolks that cover all the whites and it's the bomb i tell ya

I like white rice with butter, sugar and peanuts, it is quite good, almost like rice pudding without the milk, but with peanuts added to it, maybe next time I will do cinnamon sugar like you would do for rice pudding. I imagine the noodle combo would be okay too.
