While you don't *need* to do so now, you have identified a unique opportunity to lore hunt. If you want more lore, exploring and pearl collecting with Artificer is inevitable. As other comments have shown, we're all too willing to watch you collect them!

YEEEEES! Artificer is a VERY important opportunity to get pearls, because of Five Pebbles perspective on them.

4:02 "Bringing some pearls or going ahead" and some input about it, huh? Well, since Artificer is really fast and you're near 5P, I'd recommend reading that green pearl between the Wall echo and 5P gate, which is kinda hard to get due to the high scav population in the area. If you want to, you can bring some of those Sky Islands pearls you saw as Monk and Gourmand. Bringing pearls further away than Sky Islands or Industrial Complex I wouldn't recommend, since that would be imho a too heavy detour from Artificer's path and duty asked by 5P.

I, personally, wouldn’t mind at all if you backtracked for the pearls :)

I think if you want to see all the pearl dialogue, collecting with artificer is inevitable, however you can do so later after you have completed the campaign by just continuing from the ending... Maybe after you are more open to spoilers we can tell you what the best method for collecting pearls is.

I'm very much in favor of backtracking, and not just backtracking but straight up exploring the map. Artificer's movement makes the world surprisingly traversable and now that Pebbles no longer fries your brain on sight you get to bring pearls to a destination way closer to the center of the map. Logistics say go for it. The new gate will not go anywhere. As for more concrete directions... well chimney and sky islands are right there so that's one option. You floated the idea of going back into Pebbles proper to compare it with what you saw in other campaigns, that should be easy from this point too. Beyond that, garbage wastes and its surroundings certainly looked interesting when you were there

Some spoiler free info about pearls. To exact, white/blank pearls. Not all of them are blank, some of them do have text, of course, it's nothing covering major chunks of lore, but some have very interesting environmental storytelling. Now I must say, trying to collect and read them all, hoping for good lore is mostly an unrewarding waste of time. Plus the text in each white pearl is randomized when you start a campaign, and it's impossible to tell the white pearls appart. What I am saying, is that it would be interesting if you someday, after you finish the game maybe, visit the Rain World wiki page dedicated to pearls dialogue and read all of the dialogue for white pearls. That would give you some tiny bits of environmental info, that you could add to your theories, if you are ever going to make a video summarizing all of the game's lore you've gathered.
