I like how the ending goes from "You can purchase Three Houses on Nintendo Switch now." to "Invent a time machine if you want to play these games!" Only Nintendo can advertise games you can't buy outside of 3rd party/jumping through multiple hoops. 3DS games didn't even get any kind of "Complete Edition" with all the content. Which is a big shame since some of the best content in those games is (or rather was) downloadable.

Something I noticed with this game - "I ignore the rest of the treasure because its garbage". So many of the maps optional / side objectives just have such miserable rewards its not worth it to try for them at all. Genuinely the entire gimmick of the Byleth paralogue flies out the window once you realise its for an elixir and talisman... pretty bad game design.

The one thing i hate the most about this game, is how they never really explain how emblems work in universe... During the fight with the first corrupted when Marth awakens, it looks like Marth can attack and damage it with a physical attack, as it has do dodge and block both Alear and Marths blade, but during 90% of the conversations with emblems, we learn that they can't hold objects or eat, but they can still smell things like flowers and tea. So it constantly feels like IS couldn't decide if emblems were physical or not, as they seem to attack with weapons in battle, can't hold anything during the supports, but ARE able to smell things, which would require that they CAN interact with things in the real world to some degree. Hell, even evil Lyn is able to kill with an arrow to the chest! I have no problem with stupid mechanics and rules in games, but even stupid mechanics need to make logical sense, and follow their own established rules, and the emblems don't seem to follow a consistent set of rules at any point...

As far as fire emblem games go, the story is one of the worst. Gameplay is good, lots of room to play with emblem skills and unrestricted reclassing. They really just need to stop making the main Lord a player insert AND the most important person/dragon/child of bad guy in the realm. Choose one or the other. We get much more interesting story when half of it isn't "wow look player you're so strong and important and everyone loves you." Bring back Mark, who's just a tactician and only sees the events of the game from the outside.

TL;DR: I dislike some of the English names for characters after dealing with 200+ hours of hearing the JP names and voices. I went on an unnecessarily long tangent. But enjoy the ACTUAL names, if you read the long part. Ugh... I definitely dislike the English pronunciation of Veyle's name... It isn't Veil... It's Vey leh (Think of Hailey in a sense but replace the E in pronunciation an A making it like a Lay, and just change the H to a V... I know some people aren't gonna give a crud, but having listened specifically to the JP voices to not hear ONE specific VA, I preferred the JP names more, like Misutira, or as her English name is Timerra... Alfred, Celine, Diamont, Ivy, Hortensia, and Fogado have the same names, with slightly different pronunciations, mostly just how Japanese would say it, but Misutira is actually just a half flip (Tiramisu = Desert) and Alcryst despite NOT sounding the same in Japanese is actually surprisingly close still, Starook is how I hear it, but nonetheless his name is still Crystal but with the Al at the start.)
