Hi Lorna! Happy New Year! I’ve been using forms more recently and trying different techniques. I was wondering is using a base always necessary? if I were to just use a coloured powder would a base still need to be put down? I’m asking because I’m slower with my acrylics and feel the base and then the design/ colour takes up a lot of time. Love from London ❤️

Love Simple Hi there, work thinly then it shouldn’t take any more time with or without a clear base chik. Clear base is usually used for two reasons mainly, something to file back too when the client returns. And next to stop pigmented colours staining the natural nail ..... hope this helps 👍
